  • Bennett just broke a rim at practice. Jon and cj had a very good practice. Again we are just so much deeper and longer than last year. Cant wait for tomorrow to see us against some one else.

Awesome! I fully expect Beyers to play a major role later in the season, as he gets more comfortable with the system

  • I think Rondale Watson's shot has improved since last year. He looks a lot more smooth and comfortable. The Cam should be rocking. I'm going to say we def average over 6k game, maybe even 6500?

Every single player has improved. Not hype, just fact. Danny is great at developing players. Best i ever saw.

    http://wkusports.com/news/2018/8/27/mens-basketball-hilltoppers-announce-full-2018-19-basketball-schedule.aspx

The schedule also includes many challenges on the road, including trips to Washington, Arkansas and Belmont, and three games in the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

All three of their Myrtle Beach tourney games will be on a ESPN network.  Meanwhile, as for our 3 home games in the Global Event/Tourney against "powerhouse" opponents, they can be seen on . . . . . . ?

Good news, 129!  Does anybody know what number of season tickets the Athletic Dept. sets as a goal in basketball each season?  I imagine that they hold back a lot of the upper bleacher seats for individual game sales.  Would be great if they could sell out ALL the chair backs, upper and lower bowls, in the form of season tickets.  Wonder if there is a standard number of student tickets that are held for each home game (and then later sold if not picked up by students by a certain date).

Id say the upper bowl seats and lower bowl minus students are all season tickets, I'm not sure how many general admission are, but heck, if you can sell 100% out in season tickets, you do it.

All chairback seats are season tickets. I have never heard of them selling the student bleachers or sec 101 to the general public. That pretty much leaves only upstairs bleachers, general admission seats, as the only thing available on game night. Obviously I could be wrong but that has been my understanding.

There are around 396 tickets left to buy outside of Herd Heaven general admission. This is according to the map online where you can buy season tickets. Yes. I went through and counted yesterday. If season started today, outside of Herd Heaven the ticket office would only have 396 tickets to sell. I have no idea how many chairbacks we have or any of that. I'm sure that's also setting aside so many for visiting fans that might get returned.

Here is my count of available tickets left from yesterday afternoon.

    Lower Bowl Chair Backs- 41

    Lower Bleachers behind basket- 55

    Upper Level Chairbacks- 300

    Total Tickets left- 396

According to Herd Zone website that is correct. When season rolls around there will be a couple hundred tickets available outside of general admission herd heaven seats. This is GREAT NEWS imo. I can't believe ticket office isn't bragging about this more. They should be.

Just go to HZ and pretend that you are wanting to buy season tickets. It will bring up the map where you can buy season tickets. That map will show you which seats are still available.

  • But how many was left last year? There are always blocks bought up and empty seats in the lower level on game day. I would just like to see the difference in this year and last year.

I have no idea. With still another week or so to go, we should sell a few more before season starts. How awesome would it be if we sold out of them like WKU did?

  • I sit at mid court in section 102. The football office has had the 4 seats next to me for many, many years. Coach Fuller, his wife and 2 kids sat in them one time about 2 years ago. They have never been sat in other than than in at least 7 years.
The 4 seats next to them are very rarely sat in either. I assume a business owns them to give to customers.

That is what I am saying. I think we have sold most of the lower bowl the last few years. But business's buy them and scattered empty seats are still there. I hope it is better this year. But if it improves much, it will have to come from UPSTAIRS IMO to see a huge difference.

You seem to be enjoying the loss.  Good for you.  But the first trip to NCAA tourney and first ever win doesn’t get negated after 1 early season loss.

No don’t enjoy the loss. But I think all the stuff that has been posted on this site about the basketball program is fair to challenge. Just like Doc and the football program that is under attack....constantly. Everybody should have the right to question information posted on the site.

That's a fair point but come on, we lost a game. I said it in another post but lets not hit the emergency button until this thing turns into a 3 game skid.
