ESPN Matchup Predictor has Va Tech favored 50.1% to 49.9%.

Hoping home field advantage makes the difference.

Tech has won something like 18 out of the last 19 games. Since UVA is already bowl eligible, they don't have that as an incentive like Tech. They do play for something called the "Commonwealth Cup", symbol of football supremacy in the Old Dominion, I guess. If they win, then Tech would be 5-6, thus the game against MU gives them a shot for 6 Ws, and to keep their consecutive years (around 25) of bowl game participation intact. Without Tech having a shot for 6 wins, the game against MU will NOT take place.

Given the excessive number of bowls and the occasional five win team getting a bowl, I'm a little surprised they aren't willing to go for a fifth win against us if they lose to UVA. It's not like they seem to be too worried about losing to us.

Reality check--- completely different class of football teams. We are not a good team. Our defense could compete very well but our offense is downright pitiful.

Vt considers us a sure win,We can not play a whole game with out turning it over when it matters.we lose another close one, and I will be depressed again.
