  • It's FIU nobody cares.  Party and study or watch FIU football.  I wish we never played this crap program.

  • That 4 grand to pick sorry FIU over playing at Marshall and being around our former great players and tradition doesn't mean squat.  FIU should be playing FCS football.

Really weak man. 350 a month more plenty enough to influence kids. One of these days the F-U people gonna realize that anything UCF can do they can do better. Look out when that happens.

  • So we pulled out a miracle W today against FIU bc they have better weather and players get 350.00 more a month.  Winning tradition trumps 350.00 extra.  Our guys still get there money.  FIU player might spend that 350.00 extra $ after a monumental win.  Or get an extra bathroom in there apt.

Letter from FIU Pres. Rosenberg to students re game

That's just sad. Don't know which is worse a college president feeling the need to beg for people to come out and care about the college, or no one caring enough to respond to the plea.

A perfect example, however, of how irrelevant the nonpower five group of schools has become. I don't think I'd want to go back, but there was something to be said for the old division 1-aa with traditional rivalries and the end of season 16 team playoff. Maybe starting a playoff system and discouraging playing Power five teams would be a way to rejuvenate interest in our level of football.

Which winning tradition is that? You people whine every day about 1 championship. Well in a much shorter time they were playing for one today but came up 3 points short. If you think kids are coming here because of the nineties..20 yrs removed, I've got a bridge I'll sell you.

They come here because it's a better football school.  We aren't winning championships because.... well..... FIU gets an extra 350.00  a month.  No...… bc we aren't beating these crappy teams.  That's a program problem that should be evaluated.

  • LOL!  One response to the FIU Prez's  letter said there was enthusiasm and that "there should be 10,000" there on Saturday.

Several million people in greater Miami/South FL area and FIU probably in the 40,000-45,000 range enrollment wise, and they're hoping for 10,000 in one of the biggest games in their program's history.  Meanwhile, back in poverty and drug ridden, population declining Huntington, our fans are self flagellating and ready to jump off the Coal Exchange Building, or the Rahall Bridge, when we draw only 18,000 or 19,000 to late season games.  18,000 to 19,000 crowds at FIU would no doubt result in a collective orgasm in the Panther community!!!
