TV is loaded with games but C-USA plays on facebook. That is really really sad and hard to accept. If C-USA don't get some leadership....Next will be radio only. :'( :'(

The Facebook broadcasts are nice quality and easy to access...easier than television in fact.

I like that they show a lot of replays of big gain or important plays so I can get a better feel of what happened. The cameraman usually knows who has the ball, unlike some other broadcasting outfits.

The special interest stories and pictures of the "crowd" are pretty cool.

And, a lot better than relying on just the radio broadcast like we had to do in the 70's, 80's and some of the 90's.

Until today I've not had a completely smooth FB broadcast. I've had to stream FB via computer & Chromecast because the Fire TV FB Watch app has not workrd well for us at all.

The links to the FB streams are not prominently displayed anywhere that I've looked. The links to the streams are not even displayed on the HERDzone home page where the upcoming FB & MBB games are advertised.

The camera work, until today, has often been amateurish.

The thing most disconcerting to me is we played in a game that effectively determined a division championship - and there is almost no buzz online or on social media.  Twitter is not talking about it, the CUSA boards haven’t made the first mention of the game, this board was dead.

We played a game with real CUSA impact and no one is talking about it.

I have no idea what’s worse.

Playing on Facebook on a Saturday with 4K watching or playing on ESPN on a Tuesday in an empty MAC stadium. Biggest game in FIU history according to them and hardly anyone there either.

Both are pretty bad choices.

I think the Sunbelt might be a better football conference right now than we have. I would’ve never guessed this in 2005 when we joined.

I agree. I like what Stadium is doing. Yes linear TV is great but we aren’t in a P5 and aren’t getting those slots.  I am just happy I get to watch games. There was a time when I couldn’t even in the THN days and ESPN days.

  It was great, I really enjoyed it with my family. Glad we're getting to do it, so even if I'd rather be watching ESPN, I'm happy to be watching.

Picture quality was good. Commentary was abysmal- if I see one more picture of a damn little dog dressed up for the game or a kid asleep on a couch (Doc does that to folks...) I may lose it. This is as far away from good coverage as a league can get. But ... it’s a new world - there were more people watching on FB than seated in the stadium.

Whats FB getting out of these games?  At the high today 5.3K watching.  Other teams don't even get 1k watching I'm talking 100-200 people.  Is CUSA paying to have FB do these broadcast?

You can watch the Herd play from anywhere on the face of this earth. Well maybe not North Korea or China.

Stadium app broadcasts have been fine, facebooks tend to freeze from time to time. It’s been nice being able to fire stick on tv the Facebook watch and stadium apps.

However this conference is dead. It’s good to be able to catch every game now. It’s sad to see the quality and level of play overall. It’s sad to see how little fan support is across the entire conference. It’s been a fun ride but if a domino was to fall I’d bet CUSA goes first.

The fact you’re trying to compare Marshall to Alabama in terms of accessibility is really all anyone needs to see to know trying to counter your ignorant spewing doesn’t do any good, because you aren’t trying to have rational discussion.

Go cheer for WVU if that’s how you feel the team you cheer for should be. Seriously. Go away.

Some of our “fans” are really clueless.  We are lucky we even have an option to be on some network. I am glad we get to watch games.  But hey we could be in the MAC playing in front of crowds less than 5K every week.

Additionally, our conference championship game is the ONLY FBS conference championship game not on ESPN or a major broadcast network. The only one. We get CBS Sports Network. C-USA is the worst FBS conference out there and we need to bounce. The TV contracts we have with the extreme loss of national exposure is slowly killing C-USA. #backtothemac2019

Your 1st point: Streaming appears to be increasingly important for the future of ALL content...sports included. As broadband becomes more available, the less cable tv is necessary. In the not to distant future, fixed wireless internet (via 4g & 5g) will become major competition to coaxial cable, fiber & DSL internet. I recently sh&*canned comcrap for fixed wireless & Hulu and I'm saving $80 a month.

I think it is awesome to have our games on Facebook.

Cable TV won't even be around in 30 years.

The biggest problem I see with the live streaming is finding the link to the game.  Much easier to tune to a channel you know to find the game.

That's my only complaint.  I like the streaming and haven't experienced the problems some others have.  Games are shorter thanks to fewer commercial breaks which is nice. 

Is it the future?  It appears to be as of now.  ESPN has lost millions of subscribers in recent years.  I have a few months left on my directv contract.  When it is up I am cutting the cord and dropping directv.  Gonna stream tv.  Haven't decided what service(s) yet.  Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, lots of choices.  I have two requirements.  First I have to find a way to get some local channels.  A big antenna is not on my wife's Christmas wish list.  Second I gotta have some sports channels.
