What, pray tell, is mediocre about 8 and 3.
Well %^&*, why not then have The Herd play against pee wag flag football 6 and 7 year olds. I bet we could go 10-0 every year? But the big question is, would that make us a good
college football team. By your definition I guess it would...since we won 10 games. By everyone else in the world, no.
A dang near 7 wins a year are guaranteed in this conference...(although someone didn't tell John that in 2016)...so 1 above 7 is pretty mediocre at best. We could still be a bad team (meaning we would get our world rocked by fellow G5's Boise/UCF) and still finish the year with 8-10 wins in this conference.
We have to ask ourselves 2 questions each year (despite how many wins we racked up against cupcakes):
1. Did we play for a Championship?
2. Did we beat any teams in the top 50 of college football?
If the answer to both of those questions is NO... I don't care if we have 10 wins...it was a crappy year.
