I really, really just don't get how anyone doesn't love Danny and what he has done for the program.  I don't get it.  Folks actually act happy when we lose so they can complain.  Talented players - yes, good representatives of MU - yes, Getting better every year - yes, Local talent - yes,  player development - yes, exciting product - yes, first NCAA tourney in 30 years - YES, first ever NCAA win - YES!  But yet folks still aren't on board.  No, not perfect...never going to be.  We have SEEN in the not too distant past how BAD it can be and still don't appreciate what we have and what we are doing.  So confusing.  This brand of basketball is perfect for Marshall and DD is a national treasure.

Oh, We have a genius on our hands. If you Show signs of having passion and drive, and refuse to settle for mediocrity,  and want the program you follow to be the best that it can be, you are automatically a mountaineer fan. You figured it all out buddy.

I’m not a mountaineer fan, but maybe, just maybe, they are  now in a good conference and are recognized nationally because they have a fan base that thinks like myself and refuses to settle for mediocrity and pump sunshine.

If this isn't the most idiotic thing I'm going to read today...well I'm not sure what is.  Just because we are critical of Doc, and believe that he is VASTLY underachieving here at Marshall, that doesn't make us 'bad' fans or 'eer fans, or anything else.  It makes us realists in my view.  We used to 'Play for Championships'...now we play for 6-6 and a crappy bowl.  One conference title in his time here is NOT acceptable.  Barely being able to beat any teams with winning records is not acceptable.  Losing against the likes of Charlotte is not acceptable.  Being out of contention for conference championships in early November is not acceptable.  I'm sorry if some of you see a good 'record' and think all is right in the Marshall football world.  I for one do not.  Marcum, our old AD, once tried teaching us that Marshall should realize it's place in college sports, and quit striving for greatness....I'm sure he'd be thrilled to see how many 'fans' have picked up his mantle and now carry it proudly!

Seriously, I get salty in some posts - that's because I care. I invest in this program and school because I love the school and frankly, I think we can do better in many areas. I don't follow blindly nor do I want every coach and AD fired after a loss.

I enjoy the hell out of life. I enjoy good friends, good whiskey, and good lovin’.  I enjoy cold beer on a Friday night, and a pair of jeans that fit just right. I enjoy long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners. I enjoy trolling Marshall message boards to pi$$ off a bunch of no sense of humor having old goats.

What I used to enjoy, that I no longer do is Marshall football. I used to enjoy us playing to to toe with the big boys and blowing out the weak boys. Now we get blown out by the big boys and barely scrape by to win most and occasionally lose a few to the weak boys. Occasionally we get blown out by the weak boys at home (see Akron).

I used to enjoy coaches coach with fire produce an exciting brand of football . Now I don’t enjoy seeing a man who coaches a boring brand of football with the same boring look on his face every game. I used to enjoy watching a team who had desire to grow bigger and bigger and bigger... Now I don’t enjoy watching a team who is content to stay the same and just play in a “nobody cares” bowl at the end of the season.

If you think I am in any way shape or form upset, offended, butthurt, stick up a$$, panties wadded, or any combination of these things, by anything someone says on this board, you've lost your mind. I could care less. 90% of the things I post on here, I just sit back and laugh at as I get negative karma points and people get torn up. It's fun as hell. If i was the President of the United States, I'd probably open up a twitter account just to do the same thing.

Oh and by the way. I do everything with emotion. Only boring a$$es like Doc Holliday and half of the lame a$$ Marshall fanbase that sit on their hands during games don't do everything in life with emotion.
