The grad transfer rule is a crime... a school gives a player a degree and a chance to play college athletics and then for what should be the most productive year the player leaves for a bigger school for one year....I hate this rule..
I think it’s a crime for people like you, firstly to have a problem and not support the rules, and, secondly, judge this kid’s situation without a drop of information regarding the nature of his situation and decision to transfer. I played football for Marshall, and my last season was 2016. In this season, starting with spring ball, the Coaches (mainly Mirabal and Legg) started laying the foundation towards deteriorating the culture, based on their pride. It was the staff that drew first blood in undermining Chase Litton as a leader, devising and constructing a vital offensive apparatus with clear results of scant logistics, when expecting to produce one that produces success. I’d leave early too if I were Chase Litton. With their own players telling them the obvious, they held their ground until the very end of that season, eventually admitting their faults when the dust settled. Alex Locklear was a victim of a staff that refused to play him because he wouldn’t buy into the garbage the Coaches from then and now try to sell these kids as gospel, as they continue to destroy the culture. If you, or anyone actually paid close attention to the oline play this season, it’d be obvious that Alex Locklear was clearly the best olineman and best player, on the field. He dominated. Period. Why should a guy, unappreciated by a Coaching staff, stay put? Why hasn’t he been playing at Marshall? Go back and watch every game he played in, and compare how he fared, as opposed to his fellow linemen, against the same exact guys in front of him. It’s actually laughable when you see the actual film. Not only that, but what about the games where we saw our oline getting dominated, without him even appearing for an offensive snap. What’s even funnier is what his spring ball film looks like, from before he decided to leave the program. Each practice, every snap, every practice rep is a gem.
