  • Note: I haven’t seen a player trash talk on social media like ty Tyler ever. We will miss him TREMENDOUSLY  ;D

I’m not privy to the details and the reasons why but how we ever let this guy slip away is beyond me.
    Quote
Tyler has not gotten to play alongside anyone as talented as the returning cast on Louisville’s defensive line, yet he put together an outstanding 2018 season. Now, with a group of other talented players drawing attention from opposing offenses, Tyler can go to work in some more 1-on-1 situations.

  • What a load of crap.  That talented D line lead the Cards to a 2-10 record last season.

  • Going to Louisville was the worst mistake he could possibly make .I am sure they are in for a losing season.

  • Ryan Bee might beg to differ. Had Bee tested better, he surely would have been a pick.

Ed, I agree. Louisville is in a tough spot. However if the rumors of him being asked to move to DT are true then he had to go. Can’t fault a young man for realizing what was about to happen to his pro prospects moving inside.

  • If he truly is a top 100 defensive player in the country and we were moving him inside then 1 or 2 things are true. 1) Our current DEs are studs or 2) our coaches are not very bright.

  • “King” will only be on the back of a Marshall Jersey long as I’m still in college. Sorry  #GoHerd -Tyler King on Twitter when there were rumors of him leaving.

These are the type of players we need. If Tyler wants to leave the team that gave him and shot out of high school (1 of 2 teams offered) to go to a 2-10 team then so be it. Brady, Vedvik, Bee, Gant, and CJ are just a few examples that you can be successful here. I hope Silva comes out and plays lights out since he WANTED to come here.

It did. Also hurt Ricardo Williams pretty bad.

  • i beleive someone pointed out that we ended 2018 as the 26th best D in the nation by the NCAA, fwiw.  loserville finished 122.  for additional reference, ODU finished 118.

i have no beef with Tyler....best of luck......BUT the AUTHOR of that article is a CERTIFIED IDIOT

wish we were playing them this yr or next to prove the point that the AUTHOR is a CERTIFIED IDIOT

did i mention the AUTHOR is a CERTIFIED IDIOT ?

  • Top 100 player??  That would essentially put him in top 3 rounds of NFL draft. I didn't know KY was a state that allows recreational mary jane. Most of his best stats came vs bad competition. Nothing personal, hope they go 0-12.

NFL coaches scout you for where THEY think you'll play, but if he is set on being a DE in college that's fine.

    Same old Carinals...no D.

Stop taking shots at our best player from last year because he is legit and not because of bad comp. don’t be mad because he left.

  • might be a tweener for the league. Too small for DE and maybe too slow for LB. Same as a lot of Herd cruits. Good college players but not NFL caliber. He is thinner and slower than J Goddard.

That's what 4 straight losses to the Herd will do to a writer ( 1987, 1998, 2002, 2011 ) and looking at a 5th straight loss to the Herd in the form of the prospect of facing a Sr. Cato-led team on the road and crying and begging their way out of it.  Had to have the then-3rd ranked team in the nation to snap the streak.

Not much love for the Herd in Loserville. Needed a tow back in the day near Elizabethtown. Had a big Marshall sticker in the back window. Got my car back with a big diagonal crease in the muffler. I asked what happened with that and was told, "Aw, your car broke lose from the tow and rolled back and hit the curb.".

UK, who could easily help fill up the Joan, wisely wants no part of a deal with Herd Football.

  • Alex Thomson and Deane could both be instrumental this yr. Joey Fields at KR another. Grad transfer not hurting us yet. Doc prob nothing to do with it good or bad. Another DB waiting on ruling about eligibility. Six at least and counting....all might figure in our 2019 season.

  • Tyler is a 270lb DE with pro moves.  Not easy to replace.  Very tough loss.  He’s really good but I hope Loserville is really bad. I believe with 9 sacks at Loserville he gets drafted.

I didn't take a shot at him. I took a shot at the writer who said he was a top 100 college player based on nothing.  And yes most of his best stat games were vs bad competition.  I don't know why anyone is making the guy out to be an All America caliber player.  Maybe he will be this year but hasn't been to this point.

BTW his own twitter account has him listed as a DE/DT

  • Chris piggybacking off your top 100. Jaylen Ferguson was pick 85. Oshane Ximines was pick 95. I was higher on both players. Ximines at 250 is going to be an Olb.

Ty made a lot of moves off his motor. Gets way too far up field. (For all we know coaches may see this and figure DT is a better spot to stop that from happening.) The motor is his best asset. I wish him well.
