  • Washington's Ryan Bee had four solo tackles, five tackles in all, with one tackle for a loss.  I sure hope he can make the final roster.  He's played really well in the exhibition season.  The Redskins beat the Falcons 19-7.

He is going to be missed more than people realize. Bee, Hancock, Tyler, Gant were 4 players that will be hard to replace from a talent and experience standpoint.

Hernandez and our other DT that played very well last year too that was 6.6 300lbs with long arms.  As good as our run game could be for an advantage our D could cause the games to even out.  We have to be an opportunistic defense.  Avg. D that creates turnovers.

  • Tyre Brady also had 1 catch for 8 yds for Jags and Gant had 1 tackle in Patriots victory.

No question those 4 guys will be missed, but the cupboard isn't empty and I expect we'll get better defensively as the season goes on. When our DEs are good enough to move Tyler inside at times that should bode well.  I think both Couch and Hodge could have monster seasons. Inside I think we have a little more size/depth if not experience.  At LB we have had really good depth the last couple of years and a bunch of guys have played in games. In secondary, we should be solid at safety and hopefully at CB as well.

The other thing is I wasn't really impressed with DC last year.  I know it was his first year and all, but I hated the blitz package as it seemed very predictable and was scratching my head many times trying to figure out exactly what our gameplan focus was...ie what were we trying to take away or limit. I'm hopeful Lambert does a better job with his experience etc

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • This is the deepest MU had been in several years at  Rb, OL, DE, Secondary, TEs, and we have added quality LBs in the off season. The two areas of question appear to be defensive tackle and how much progress Green has made at the QB position.  Brady was great, however, Green's propensity to focus most passing plays on him in some ways limited our passing game last year. Richardson and Obialo are talented receivers with several promising newscomers in the mix. Too, I think our new coaching additions are an upgrade which, hopefully, will make a difference. Should be interesting!
