Some might think this is an over reaction but is it? It's year 10 and we're still losing the games of consequence. We're going nowhere. OCs and DCs may change but Doc stays the same.

I am wondering if 2016 didn't happen for multiple reasons, many I have already proposed  ( directly of indirectly ).

2016 also reset the bar way lower if one thinks about it:

2017: 8 wins
2018: 9 wins
2019: 10-12 wins, maybe a loss in the CUSA Ch. game (??). CUSA would be thrilled with another TX champion, MH comes out and points how Doc and the Herd are still trending upward and for sure we'll get 'em in 2020.

They aren't going to fire Doc for losing by 7 to Boise and then struggling with Ohio and Cincinnati.

Just by beating VMI and teams ranked in the FBS bottom 30 or 40 will result in a 8 or 9 win season. Throw in a bowl game against a 6-6 AAC or whatever #2 in the East gets, it might be a 10 win season. History has shown that's good enough.

Doc will not be fired, they only way he goes is when his contract expires and he decided to retire. That’s the problem with having Hamrick as his friends boss.

I cut my Big Green donation down to $120 a year this morning, citing our lack of committment to winning, and that moral victories and just competing for a cusa title in the worst conference in the nation isn't enough anymore.

I understand your frustration as I am as well. But why should volleyball and baseball players suffer because you are upset with football. Cut back on your QB Club donation, that is strictly football but BG is all sports

We will be in the championship game this year. now i dont know if we will win it because NT, UAB and LT are decent. But the east division has nobody and i mean nobody that has a pulse. It is by far the worst it has been since we have been in it. Usually there is at least one team that is decent. Not this year.

I would like to believe that, but we always lose to someone in the east that we shouldn't lose to and Rice is playing way better than I thought they would, meaning the trip to Texas is not a given.

Not this year. No way no how. There isnt on team in the east that can beat is even if we are off. They are that bad. Have you been paying attention this year? This is the worst year by far for the east. Every team is horrible and that has never happened.

Yes, I've been paying very close attention.   Charlotte is playing much better, ODU has been playing better than last year, and WKU has a good defense.  FAU is hard to judge because they have played two far superior teams.   Middle, who you figured would be down with a new QB, played respectably at Michigan and their QB put up 500 yards of offense last week.

Well, still early overall in CUSA play, but early results show that LA Tech, UAB, may be the teams to beat in the West.  North Texas and their "all everything" QB, Mason Fine, got solidly whipped by the AAC's SMU on Saturday, and may be somewhat porous on defense.  UAB at least got CUSA's best win on Saturday by defeating the MAC's Akron on the road.

As for the league East, if MU doesn't pull its usual slip up at MTSU (with Doc's typical brain fart), the HERD should be ok.  Not that sold that FAU is all that good, although they have played (and lost to) Big Time foes in the first two weeks.  Charlotte may be improved overall when we face them there near the season's end.  As for home games in the league, MU should not, and better not, have ANY trouble with any of those teams, with the possible exception of LA Tech. 

If we do slip up at home against such teams, there needs to be an immediate NCAA, or CONGRESSIONAL, INVESTIGATION, or Both, with both Doc's and Hammy's Jobs on the line!!!!

Wow how far we have fallen. When we worry about WKU that lost to central arkansas and has been horrible the last couple years. Charlotte that just started a program about 5 years ago and is just now barely above beyond bad just a couple years ago. oDU that, well is ODU (bad). FAU and FIU that has collapsed. And Mtsu that just beat tenn st (who)? And lost big to a very overated Michigan team that barely beat Army who struggled against rice. We win the east easy and if we dont there is a major major problem. Like i said we may lose the championship game because the west is the only side with a pulse.  Trust me, we woll win the east hands down!!!!

So what are you going to do if we don't win the East?

I agree there's no reason we shouldn't win it, but then again, there's been multiple years we should have won it.....but we didn't.

We will win the east. Yes there are years we could have and didnt. But im telling you, it has never been this bad. Usually there is at least one team that is good or even respectable. Wku during brhom. Or mtsu with stockstill was ok. But this year is a total collapse. It is the safest bet in all of sports this year that we will win the east and play for a championship. Now winning it is a toss up imo.

I said before the season we would be 2-2 or 1-3 in OOC play. Then we could go 8-0 in CUSA play.
I see nor reason to change that thinking
