  • It was due to CBSSN and Stadium already having contracts with CUSA. NFLN came in late to replace BeIn.

Are these long term contracts or can they change next year ???

I'm not sure. I would assume they are good until the next renewal. Not sure of that date. BeIn always had the last pick due to money they gave the conference for rights. Or I should say "lack of money"

CBS Sports is a 5 year deal that started in 2018.

NFL Network is a 4 year deal that started this season.

  • Laugh at them all you want, the MAC plays on ESPN and people watch them.  Certain CUSA schools get Judy’s blessing to be on NFL Network.  We Are Facebook

Careful, your suggesting that the MAC is a superior conference to the one we are in right now 🙄. Honestly you are absolutely right, but the majority of our fans are to stubborn to give up a couple Saturday games to play on ESPN and then wonder why our brand is dying. NFL network will never be any help to us, they get the last pick of games. How many people watched us at Boise? I thought the number was around 1M, but we played on a Friday night. That’s something that we unfortunately are going to have to do if we want real national exposure.

  • One thing is for sure...if the CUSA doesn't supply somewhat compelling games, then the NFLN deal won't be around very long.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

    Both conferences are terrible.

  • Toledo beat Colorado State at CSU yesterday
    UAB slaughtered South Alabama
Rice gave Baylor all they could handle, losing 21 to 13

All conferences have some good and not so good teams.  IMHO, the AAC may be a tiny bit above everyone else in G5 right now, top to bottom, but I don't see any substantial difference between the rest, including Mountain West.

Hopefully, it will be nullified after this season, because of poor fan interest ratings of only 6 k per game. lol.

Stadium could be good if Sinclair puts the games on their newly acquired FOX Sports Nets. And they stop sending our games to Facebook.
