2-1 Win over 2018 NCAA national runner up Akron.  #3 Stanford beat them by an identical score earlier this season.  Grassie is building a solid program.  Hope we can hold on to him for a while.

Akron is a major, major men’s soccer program that is somehow 0-5 right now despite having the same coach since 2012.

But when you look at who they’ve played and how tight they’ve all been, all they have to do is win the MAC and they could still make a national run.

Our new soccer coach is not too bad for a D2 find.  :D.  I told this board he’s legit and will turn Herd soccer around quickly.  Coaching .... you are either really good or you never will be.

Huge win for the Herd tonight. Despite their record Akron has several legit MLS guys on their team. I know the general attitude towards soccer on this board is blah. But it'd be great to see the VET packed. We have a great team this year and they deserve the support!

All about the recruiting.  Mens team has 16 international players , that's where the talent is on the mens side. Herd womens team has 2 international players.

I'm not a Soccer fan but it's one of the fastest growing sports in the world/country. I'm glad we have invested in the sport. This might be like investing in football back in 1950s.

It pains me to say it but Soccer might be the main sport in another 50 years.

Believe Akron has been to the NCAA tourney for many years in a row.  Hopefully, the Herd team continues to play very well and they possibly could also make the tourney even if they don't get CUSA's automatic bid!!
