  • . . . after week four of college play.  CBSsports.com has a football writer who put out his pre season bowl projections and then revises (makes a stab in the dark) as the season plays out.

Here is what he has slated currently for The Herd, other CUSA teams and some Herd opponents and a couple of others we are familiar with.  Note that currently WVU is NOT projected to make a bowl!

Dec. 20, Bahamas Bowl, So. Miss. vs. Northern Illinois
Dec. 20, Frisco Bowl, UAB vs. Houston
Dec. 21, N. Mexico Bowl, La. Tech vs. San Diego St.
Dec. 21, New Orleans Bowl, North Texas vs. Louisiana
Dec. 23, Gasparilla Bowl, FAU vs. SMU
Dec. 26, Quick Lane Bowl, Miami (O) vs. Purdue
Dec. 30, First Responder Bowl, MARSHALL vs. Colorado
Jan. 2, Birmingham Bowl, Cincinnati vs. Army
Jan. 6, Mobile Bowl, Ohio vs. Appy State

And Boise State gets the G5 "Money" Bowl, playing Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 28.

Like the idea of the Herd playing a Power foe from the PAC 12 for the first time.  Not that crazy about a bowl game in Texas.

  • I'd love to play a Pac12 team and beat them.   This is a team I could see us actually upsetting if you want to call it that.

I like the date and venue. SMU has a nice stadium and air travel is a snap into and out of DFW

Who cares where it is at if you don’t make the access playing Colorado as an alternative would be great.
