  • An estimated 80,000 Americans died of flu and its complications last winter — the disease’s highest death toll in at least four decades. The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Robert Redfield, revealed the total in an interview Tuesday night with The Associated Press.flu deaths since they have been recorded is 80,000 in one year in the US.

  • This is a very strange chart. It seems to have been tailored to create/sustain panic. Why would other causes of death not be included such as heart disease or cancer?

How can we have anything approaching accuracy for any of the various causes immediately and worldwide?

The international community agrees on almost nothing as it relates to tracking metrics. This is especially true for covid deaths. In the US, we count everyone who dies and tests positive (or likely MIGHT have tested positive) as a covid death. In China, they apparently count nothing as a covid death.

Exactly!!!! You test positive for covid and die in a car wreck and it’s counted. We have no where near 120,000 true covid deaths. I would be shocked if there is 50,000. And it was just reported that 55% of all deaths from covid have been in nursing homes.

Agree. We will never know the true numbers. We also aren’t given critical data on deaths and infections of high risk vs low risk.

I have also started to notice the media promoting more and more young people are getting infected. Again show me some numbers. High vs low risk, death rate vs recovery, total hospitalizations etc.
