I have to say that this is the most excited I have been to a start of a football season in a long time. I will admit that I wasn’t that excited before the game started but after watching our QB literally thrash the opposing defense ( I know it is EKU) I am blown away at our QB’s knowledge and ability. He is making his reads, making perfect throws and he can run the ball to boot! I am officially excited again!

Agreed. Also noticed not throwing off of back foot and following through. Haven't seen that for a decade.

If he’s put under center he will be even more effective.  It will teach him better pocket movements and get into the passing game quicker.  Teach him to play under center now.

Your probably right.  And that’s terribly sad if you are.  Wells looks better and is better.  He probably was last year too.  Bc when both were in Hs, Wells was much better.

No he wouldn't have. Thank god for us he did, or he would have started.  The more I watched the game, more I came to the conclusion. The shitty
play calling we have seen for the last two years was all Cramsey protecting IG's inability to QB.

Maybe that's why Green cracked up, knowing Wells was perhaps going to start this year. It's my understanding Doc opened it up for Cramsey to play who he felt best for us to win..

After watching today I believe our offensive woes were 100% on Green. Which I believed all along.  I watched Cramseys teams play at his previous stops and it was a lot like today.

It also shows we have some solid receiving talent which was not apparent with Green at QB

Meaning maybe this is Hollidays last year which is why Cramsey was actually allowed to open up a true qb competition.  Holliday is content and ready to retire.

If anyone can’t see the difference between wells and green then I don’t know what to say. Green never even looked like a QBU. He looked like a we you had put back there for mop up duty. Wells looks like a QB. He will have some growing pains but he has pure greatness written all over him for the future. Thank God IG left or he would probably be qb for 2 more years.

Grant wells looked great.  He threw the ball with purpose and didn’t float anything,  even the incomplete passes were there for the receivers to catch.  He looked poised and confident.  Zban looked good too.  I’m also glad the 2nd and 3rd teams got to get in the game and actually got to run some plays and got to score some TDS.

Broc Thompson can fly!   Keaton is fast!!   Johnson is fast!!!  Woodward is super fast!!!!  We finally have true and bigtime speed!!!  A legit 4x100m.  We need a burner at rb.  Game breaker.

No...I do not believe this is Doc Hollidays last year, and I will never believe this is his last year unless he personally states it...As well, Doc would never turn things over to anyone, It’s just not Doc..I have been as frustrated as is humanly possible over the last few years with Docs brand of Herd football and any great MU herdfan will agree,  but Doc, unless things really fall apart will be back unless he has truly decided to retire and publicly announces his retirement...

After watching not only Wells' performance but the teams' performance as well, I think we can actually compete with every team on our schedule this season.  A refreshing turn of events.

Just need to catch better in big moments.  Size and speed there.
