  • That was ridiculous. Mask requirements are not law and there is no real need for a State of Emergency. Its DeWine overreaching. He is a foolish and evil man and not who he represents himself to be. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get caught up in the Speaker Larry Householder corruption scandal.

New stats from CDC on updated survival rates if infected with COVID-19:

    0-19 99.997%
    20-49 99.98%
    50-69 99.5%
    70+ 94.6%

  • Mom not wearing a mask taken in to custody and arrested.

Meanwhile riots, looting and destruction of personal property has become the norm.

  • She was arrested for trespassing because she refused to leave. If everyone else followed the rules for attending the game, why couldn't she do the same ?
No one made her go to the game, also, from the video, quite the example she is showing her son of not following rules and throwing tantrums when not getting

She said she has a medical condition and why she is unable to wear a mask. If it were me I would've let the LEO take me and won in court. But really, tasing a woman over a lack of face covering and "trespassing" because some Karen tattled? I'm sure maskers are rejoicing and got wood watching that. Stay simple rule following sheep.

  • I see.
We can gather in mass, riot, loot and burn things, masks are optional and it’s ok to trespass, violate curfew and destroy things.

    Makes sense.

  • Here’s a fun dilemma right now.

Democrats- defund the police/why can’t you all just follow the rules!
Republicans- back the blue/these laws are a massive overreach!

The more laws placed the more events like this will happen. We can’t have it both ways either way.

Ive yet to understand the mask in a sporting event being outdoors. Only thing I can see is places don’t want to risk liability.

  • Were the people around her communists?  They had masks, and it’s Ohio, guessing there are Putin loving Trumpers all around maskless Karen.

no one is criticizing or questioning those that wear what they are told despite the lack of science supporting that masks work in outdoor socially distanced sporting events.

  • I personally don't think the woman should have been arrested. She was away from others and wasn't a threat to their health. I feel bad for the woman's kid who plays to see his mother get arrested and being embarrassed!  Thanks to an "idiot President, we're now fighting among each other, because Trump has played down and "lied about the virus"...

All this division started under Obama especially the racial division. Sad that we had a first black president and he decided to tear apart instead of come together. And yes Trump fights back. Should he just sit there and let the msm and the dems spend 100% of their time lying and trying to destroy him? E did you see the new release from the CDC about survival rates? 99.5% and up on people below 70. And 70+ is a 94.6% survival rate. Yep we are trying to destroy our country over that? Unreal!!!!

  • Ohio has strict rules on athletics this year and they are enforcing them.  If there is an observer there and he/she sees a maskless fan, they can be reported and that school may be asked to stop their sports programs.  This is a ruling from the governor's office.

Is it a law or a ruling or what ? Im getting confused on how laws can now be made out of thin air . Its amazing how if someone isnt wearing a mask , a mask that does nothing  , they can be manhadled and put in jail , incredible and scary times.

A state or local government has a great deal of latitude in making laws to protect public health and safety.  In a time when a communicable disease is considered a potentially lethal threat to public health these types of rules can be passed and enforced with reasonable penalties so long as they do not discriminate among groups or activities, particularly those activities that people have a fundamental right to engage in.  If they do, the reason why one group or activity is treated differently must be well defined and the least restrictive means for making the distinction have to be imposed.

The lady without the mask at the football game was not following a rule that a court would uphold and which under the circumstances a court would consider rational.  Coming into the game without one made her a trespasser subject to removal.  Refusing to leave when told to was probably disorderly conduct in Ohio and subjected her to reasonable force to remove her.

What happened was not fair but it was "just" under the law.  I didn't like the scene either but the problem is confusing "justice" with "fairness," because justice is not always "fair."

Where I have a problem with these rules is when some gatherings are allowed but others are not, such as a public protest as opposed to going to church, both are First Amendment rights and both could be done with a relative degree of safety yet in some places one is treated with draconian enforcement and the other is not policed at all it seems.

Thurgood Marshall made the comment that as long as a law doesn't discriminate and it has a rational basis there is nothing to stop local governments from creating very stupid laws.  That's why you vote in local and state elections to stop stupid laws from getting passed.

There is a law somewhere that says you can walk around with a carrot sticking out of your back pocket.  That sounds ridiculous today but at one time it existed to keep a horse thief from luring a horse away.

On the other hand these are the same kinds of laws that try to keep quack doctors from practicing or making sure your meat isn't full of salmonella, so you don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
