What is stupid about this. The Big 10 and Pac 10 are not going to start for at least a month  now. What are they going to do, keep the AP ranking while idle?
So teams play around them with very little movement while half the teams in the Top 25 don't play for a month. You know what's going to happen after the 23rd when they start playing. Some of
the bottom dweller like Wisky or Mich will lose right out of the gate and be dropped. Which means they get a month free pass in the Top 25 for nothing. Why publish a new poll for the next month.

When you don't play, if you're not a P5, you drop, period IMHO.

So much this. Having those first 2 games available on national tv is going to pay dividends if we manage to run the table.

It doesn’t matter if they are playing yet. It’s a ranking of teams that are going to be competing this year. The poll is who they think the top 25 teams in America is. Ohio St, Penn St are without question should be in there even if I don’t like them. When and if we get back to winning constantly then we will build a brand again. But you can’t win CUSA once in 15 years and expect to turn heads with one game. Just keep winning and make them take notice. And for goodness sakes don’t have or 1-2 hiccups against a Charlotte or MTSU or somebody.
