  • He did graduate but he has at least one more year of eligibility. That also depends on the NCAA and their covid rules.

Smart.  Could easily have, or be close to, a Master's degree by next summer, I'd guess.  For sure have one if he stays another year, with extra eligibility in basketball.  Of course, he may have other plans, maybe pro ball somewhere, etc.  Still glad he's got his degree and thus a Son of Marshall for Life!!!

He will be close by then. We are not talking pro ball yet. There are a couple of things that are important to him and that is him having his "senior"  night and the block shot record.

THat being said, I know how quick he falls for the head fake. We have preached to him a trillion times to just play your game and the block shots will happen. Having a shortened season won't help him though.

Thank you very much. The record he wants, that you do not have listed here, is the Marshall career block shot record. Whiteside has the record with 182 (incredible that was only one season !!!)  Jannson currently has  151.

Thanks again and with the reduced number of fans in the Cam, the whole team is going to need all the cheering we can give'em.

He was also quite physical inside, tough on the boards, even though a little undersized at around 6-5, or 6-6, and, IIRC, I seem to think he was also from down in Georgia somewhere.  Pretty sure it was GA or one of the Carolinas.

  • Agreed.
The downside is for schools like Marshall,  this can be a huge financial help if many affected take them up on it.
Baseball and softball got off rather easily as many chose to move on

I was at Greg Marshall’s house in the park the first time I heard about him. GM was very high on him.

  • It makes financial and health sense. Obviously we are in a different time. If approved,  I understand we would open on the road at ODU. Our travel partner WKU would open in Charlotte

So we open up 2 games at ODU and then may play 2 at WKU. Usually the top 2 teams and we play all 4 on the road. I may be the only one but I don’t like it at all.
