  • Every time I hear or see Brandon Knox on radio or TV, I'm impressed about how professional he sounds.

On the MBB side, Tavian Kinsey doesn't sound as slick, but he always says something that is interesting.

My best friend was a broadcasting major. He recruited me to tape a TV "commercial" for the Kenney's Music Company (remember them?) and a "radio spot"  for The Italian Delicatessen.

He showed me his grade & critique on the TV commercial. The comment for me was "Talent???"

During my career, I had to be interviewed several times for TV. I looked and sounded like sh%& each time. So I'm impressed.

  • My half-brother, in the mid-80's and at a dead-end in his pro tennis career, went to broadcasting school and I heard graduated at the top of his class. I talked to him on the phone a couple of times after that and he sounded akin to Al Michaels.

They made him director of junior tennis at a big club in Michigan so he stayed with his first love. $60K+ was righteous bucks in the mid-80's. But the more I think about it he might have made millions as a broadcaster.

  • Always thought that former Herd running back star, Doug Chapman, sounded good, clear and poignant in his football broadcasting duties mainly as a play by play analyst.  Anyone know if Chapman is still doing broadcast/telecasting work somewhere?

DSHOE liked him as well. I remember DSHOE giving him some nice compliments!  I've wondered where he disappeared too.  He was on Stadium for awhile but seemed to fall off the face of the earth.

Did a little research, looks like he may be working for "Peerless Tech Solutions".  But I do miss him doing sports related stuff.

  • John Gregory was out there for a period of time. Wonder what happened to him?
