  • Coming into the season, as I see it, for what little that is worth, we had THREE solid bell weathers, if that's the correct term, offensively:  Kinsey, Williams and West.  Not all three have to be on top of their respective O games EVERY night out!  One has an outstanding game, one has a good, solid game, and one could have an off night and we could still be ok and come out, most likely, against most opponents, with a "W" instead of a "L".  But only if one other thing happens:  other players have to step up, every game, not only offensively, but in other aspects of the game:  defense, rebounding, floor play, etc.  So far, that's what we have experienced in the first 4 outings, be it either from Taylor, from Byers, from George, from Obinna, etc., etc.  Solid role play by 2 or 3 other players, plus enough out of the "Big Three" game in and game out gets what we've got:  FOUR and OH and Counting!!

The key is just for everyone to be locked in and play defense and rebound. If they are locked in and focused, we will get enough offense because we have enough weapons across the board. Just bring it!!!

  • Today was his best overall game as a proud member of the Thundering Herd, in my opinion.  As did Miladinovic.

I totally agree. I told he and his parents that after the game. He, as usual,  was very humble and appreciative

  • I liked what AT said in the HD this morning. He said with his shot not falling he had to do other things to help the team. He said it’s not always about scoring because there are other ways to impact a game. This is why this team is Dannys best. Scoring can’t be all you care about. Defense, rebounding and just staying focused and playing intelligent is just as important. If they all worry more about playing hard, rebounding, defense and staying focused, this team is going to have a tremendous year.

  • no doubt, when your guards are getting a significant number of rebounds, winning or at least matching the steals/turnovers, getting more assists, disrupting shots/plays, you've got a great chance to win.  that is, IF it translates to points.  for the most part, it has, so far this year.  it's fun to see that just about every player is contributing with more positives than negatives and it's a huge factor in team confidence, snowball effect.  makes me think of Jon once again and if he'd have had this full team experience/depth?

i forgot which coach Danny credited for work with the defense but it shows, and of course, it should show with a veteran team.

As we know,  Scott has been in charge of defense ever since he arrived Danny's first year
