  • We should at least be on espn+ like every other mid major.  I cannot even find a game replay, highlights,  or even a hype video!  Sad!

  • HERD's TV coverage gets better as we enter conference play:  Stadium, ESPN+, CBSsports, etc.  We just need to win, and media notice/coverage should improve.

The folks I talked to said that the CUSA-TV feed was excellent again with Jake Griffith doing the play by play. One monthly payment and see 4 or 5 December games then cancel. Seems like a good deal to me

worked great for me.  Picture was good.  Jake did a good job.  It seemed like he was watching a monitor and not in the arena a few times but otherwise it was fine.  I don't get peoples constant complaint.  I paid one time for a month of games.  You have to win games consistently to draw the tv games.

  • It would be nice to be on TV but I am thrilled virtually every game is on HD somewhere. I remember when you had zero option. It’s $10 or $12 a month. I would pay that to see each game if I had to.

  • There is a roku app for cusa.tv now.  This is much better than having to watch on the computer or run hdmi to the TV.

The quality was pretty good.  Replays were not too often, but had some

Just wanted to let everyone know there is a roku app. I would assume there is one for Apple TV and the other stores/services as well

There isn't one for Amazon Fire TV stick. But Fire does have a YouTube TV app which I've used to watch a Charlotte CUSA.TV game live.

ODU puts there's up on odusports.com

    Good ideas.

The quality of the feed is not SA's point.
A game like Ohio vs. MU being behind a paywall severely limits the number of eyeballs.
I'm glad that it appears the CUSA apppears to finally be getting it's sh!t together. But it does near nothing in terms of national or even regional exposure.
Did Beyers' dunk make Sports Center's top 10?

I don’t think many eyeballs outside of Marshall and Athens fans would watch much less care about this basketball game. Both programs have a way to go plus you’re competing with Sunday afternoon NFL. I just don’t see that much more attention if the game were played on cbs sports or fox sports Ohio.

I agree.  Everybody knows the NFL carries a game on a Sunday afternoon.

To ad more we can't make TV want our games.  Our TV partners could pick the games and show them and they didn't want it.  They go through and pick what games they wish to show and Marshall-Ohio wasn't selected.  Just like Wright State's TV partners didn't choose our game with them to be put on.  Marshall can't make the TV partners put it on "free tv".  Also being on locally does no good outside of the local TV market either.  Unfortunately it is the world we live in...it would be nice if our TV partners wanted us but they don't.  Look at how many WKU games is on non pay wall channels this season vs. us.  The only way to get those selections...is to keep winning and recruiting and we look better next year at TV selection time.

Yes sir.  MU's style and story gets us eyeballs.  We do good with televised events.  I am complaining that the game has not been posted to a youtube so we could go back and watch the game.  It seems like when the game is picked up on ESPN + the game gets posted on Youtube within a day or so.  I guess i am bitching a little bit.

Good point...but there are basketball junkies out there who will tune in on an ESPN platform who won't know or bother with a CUSA TV sub.

  • Lexkyherdfan hit the nail on the head.  Winning cures a whole host of "ills".  Brings exposure, media attention and coverage, opens the eyes to more quality recruits, revs up the fan base, and last, but not least, heats up the activity on fan boards!  :D

Herd sports comes first for me. I’m glad they don’t charge $25 a game because I would pay it to watch Herd basketball.

He was watching a monitor. Same for Arkansas State.  He is in the TV production room off the arena floor.

Thanks, JReese.  Stayed up and watch 2 full hours of Sports Centers starting at 2:00 AM Monday morning.  Unfortunately, watching, and listening to, two bubble heads blab incessantly about mostly ho-hum caliber NFL action for about 45-50 minutes proves to be a SURE CURE for insomnia!!  Fell asleep both hours well before the Top Ten Plays segments, waking BOTH times when they had gotten to NOs. 7 and 6!!  DRAT!  Getting old, old is pure H-E-L-L!  Glad Byersmade it!

P.S.  You heard it HERE first!  That won't be the HERD's only trip to the Top Ten Plays segment this season!!  Take it to the Bank!!  GO HERD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Coal, SC replayed the #9 dunk as part of the top ten as the end of the next-morning edition of SC. Additionally, WSAZ showed the highlight form a different angle during their 6 pm & 11 pm Monday newscast.

WSAZ also showed a very nice base line drive & dunk by T Kinsey.
