  • Because i expected this the whole time. Losing when it matters is the rule, not the exception with Doc. I said earlier in the season that anyone thinking Doc was going to win a title was crazy. The man is incapable of doing anything significant. When faced with a better coach and inferior talent, he is 0-2 this season.

Silver lining is, that this should lead to his dismissal/retirement. Otherwise, the fan base is done i figure. He got lucky with covid being an excuse for attendance this season i believe.

Emails and phone calls need to be made, put some pressure on them to finally get someone here that can actually win this awful conference.

  • Does UAB really have inferior talent? They looked way bigger and faster out there. I think the whole notion of Doc being a great recruiter is pure BS. He lucked out with Cato and realignment and that's basically his legacy.

  • I'm not upset either, and that is probably the saddest thing.

    Denial
    Anger
    Bargaining
    Depression
    Acceptance

Why would the fanbase be done? It’s been 11 years and they were thinking he was a great coach 3 weeks ago. Will they truly ever learn. I’ve scratched my head since 2016 why they keep jumping onboard every year. The fans have the power to force change but they continue to accept what Hamrick feeds them.

Exactly. People have heard that recruiting hype for so long they are convinced. I’m not buying it.

Doc got that reputation by pure luck. He found a gold mine in southern Florida before anybody else knew about it. When he started recruiting that area there was only Two D-1 schools that consistently were there.

There genuinely weren’t that many people thinking that. Most were waiting for the inevitable.  Personal, I thought this team was strong enough to be Doc proof, but I underestimated Hollidays ability to Eff things up.

Look at the attendance numbers from 2018 and 2019. A good portion of the fanbase has already been ran off.

I don't know that I agree with you are on that.  There were several that I thought knew better, who seemed to have gone off the deep end and were very wrapped up in this year.  It got to where I never stopped doubting, but I kept quite both because I'd didn't want to offend some who I feel affinity for and because I didn't want my nose rubbed in it if I had been wrong and Doc had turned it around for  change.

I guess those of use who have seen through Doc wanted to be wrong because it would have been good for Marshall for us to be wrong.  Guess that's why I find the Docsucker crowd so obnoxious, they insist on blindly following Doc with seemingly little concern for what is actually best for Marshall.

I agree. The fans keep lapping up the gravy. They let their love for Marshall get in the way for what is best for Marshall. I’ve been down with Doc for years. I didn’t like him the day he was hired and still don’t. But that is just me. Fans here at Marshall allow this stuff to go on for way to long. We are to blame with the offense we see on the field. You can love Marshall but keep your eyes open to reality. Anyone that wasn’t attached to blind loyalty could see what Docs teams are.

I get sick of the we have better talent phrase. That’s pure BS. We beat teams that are inferior and lose to teams that have equal or superior talent. We have no advantages ever in coaching. Pretty sad.

We aren’t as talented as the homers or media would us believe
