Issue is not with Wells. Issue is play calling and in last night game we tried way to hard to feature Gaines and that was our downfall. Should have never went with the wildcat or what they want to call it.

I don't see how you can say the issue is not with Wells. He has clearly become a head case. Obviously, he has the skills to be a great QB, the first 7 games showed us that. But he's got PTSD from the Rice game. That's not the coaches' fault. It's their fault that they didn't gameplan that he might have a bad game because of lingering head issues from the Rice game, but his mental state is not their fault.
Wells was the hometown hero this season, arguably one of the best freshmen QBs in the country, then he has a terrible, devastating game at home in front of his family, his team, his friends, his fans. That can mess with your head and it appears that it has. And I hate that for him, would for any 19-year-old kid who's just trying to live out his dream. Athletically playing well is both a physical and mental exercise. Until he gets his head back on straight, he's going to struggle.
