I think Lambert would do a great job at Marshall;not that he is my choice. What he accomplished at UNCC is, IMHO, an outstanding display of being a proactive, community affiliated, solid communicating, program developing specialist. As I mentioned elsewhere in the last several hours, tion need a re-stage of our whole program. He is capable of doing it, and the talent he was able to draw to UNCC as a start-up indicates to me he could drive very high level recruiting here too. With a promotion of J C Price to his DC, and replacing Cramsey (although I like him, there would be too much deficit at the start if not change on the O side of the ball), I think he wins big with the returning talent and has a solid chance at a conference championship in his first year.
While new would be great, if we do have a quality guy in house who already knows the conference, that could be an assist in a quick turnaround of the success on the field and in the pocketbook as well.
Again, not my first choice, but I would sure hope if that happened the fan base would give him 100% of their support.
P.S. Do you think he could drive a higher degree or re-attachment of players from decades past?
