  • But WKU basketball has wins over Alabama, Memphis, Rhode Island and N Iowa. Also played WV to a draw until Bassey and Hollingsworth got injured in that game. I wish we had those wins.

Sounds like you are butt hurt over the UAB game. News flash, he already beat wichita at on the big stage when they were a #4 seed. But try again. Oh, and we are 4-1 not 2-7 big guy!!!

  • If DD would just narrow the rotation to 8 guys I believe the lapses in games will be reduced.  WKU is good but I believe by the end of the year we can compete with them.

We aren’t competing with Bassey. We have nobody for him. IB is the only one that has a shot to guard him and who knows when or if he plays. 25 pts and 11 boards today against Bama. I haven’t seen I big man in the country as good as him. Only chance we have is to be shooting bullseyes when we play.

I guess Johns means John's as in John Holliday's account.

But let’s be honest...outside of the NCAA tournament win and a win over a ranked MTSU team who have we beat since DD has been here?

I would love to have wins like WKU have had over P5 teams. The wins they have this year are better than all of our big wins in the last I don’t know how many years. Was our last win in basketball back when Herrion best WVU?  I honestly don’t know so I am asking.

I say that as someone that likes DD. I just don’t like the effort we have made in games against big opponents.

As we know by now, he will. He always spends the OOC season and even early conference games tweaking and finding a unit that plays best together
Today, I consider myself, the luckiest man on the face of the earth..

  • Don't know how good N. Iowa is, especially now with one of their better players injured/out.  Was he available when WKU played them?  Rhode Island isn't anything special this season; not what they were seasons ago.  Not so sure I'd take Bassey over the two big dudes Huggs has in the Hole!  He certainly didn't dominate either of them when the two teams met, and the rest of the Tops looked rather ordinary in that game.  The guys at WVU are still underclassmen, too. Certainly I wouldn't necessarily take Bassey over that big Garza dude at Iowa; not sure how most Pro teams have both of them rated.

I like our chances to get at least one of the games with WKU, if we play tough overall team D, and Coach D'Antoni can get two or three of our bigs to play solidly inside, especially on Bassey.  Oh, yes, and we play our team Offense as designed, and not the individual "Hero" ball we played in the last quarter or so of the game versus Toledo!

GO HERD!!!  Beat Robert Morris!! (And at least salvage "Something" out of this week end).
