  • Our kids have checked out. We know the coaches won’t have a decent game plan or motivate the team to play well. W for Buffalo.

  • Will watch but won’t go...would have gone to Phoenix Cure Bowl.  Hope we right the ship because believe it or not, deserved or not, we likely would finish in the AP top 25 with a win.

  • While it is a disappointing bowl from the perspective of where my mindset was before Rice, I like this bowl for Grant Wells and the other younger players.

Why? The more they play the worse they get under this regime.

  • All is not lost. Remember that Don Nehlen was given the "opportunity" to break his ignominious bowl loss streak in his final game.

I get where his thinking is at. Grant got rattled and played bad for a game and a half. I was worried he was going to completely melt down and not make it back. The second half he came out of it played much better which shows he is capable of putting it behind him. Let’s let him build on last weeks second half and see if he can build some more confidence leading into next year.

On the other hand I can also see your point. Our lame coaching staff won’t bother gameplanning for Buffalo and it may make things worse for him. I’m not sure what the right thing to do is at this point when it comes to play vs not play. The one thing we all agree on is this is Doc’s last year.

Is Doc really gone?  Is it official?  I sure as hell hope so.  Hope the the Ham goes too.

  • We got a very quality, yet unexciting opponent. Going to be very hard to win this one and nobody will care if we do. Number 1 rushing offense and number 3 offense overall, I believe. Can we take their coach home with us after the game?

Yeah, Herd defense won't be able to carry the team. If they're out there for 40 minutes again, it's game over.

  • Doesn’t Buffalo rush for over 300 yards a game? But are they finess or power. Our D has trouble against power hard rushing right at the defense. We do ok with teams that run side to side or dance around looking for holes. Physical teams that smack is in the mouth wins out.

I got news for you, we're not a top 25 team. Doc Holliday has to go!!. Hamrick's contract is up in June as well. Let Doc and Hamrick enjoy their retirement fishing at the Winfield locks and dams together.. It's time for a sweeping change..

Very quality opponent?  You are kidding me, right?

We are playing the runner up in the fricking MAC.  They lost to Ball State.  Ball State!  Ball State the school that David Letterman, got rich talking bout how bad they are.

It doesn’t matter which team comes with the higher score.  Marshall has lost long before kickoff, we might finish the season #2 in the MAC.  Are we having fun Doc supporters?

Agreeing with you we are not a top 25 team but considering we currently sit ranked 30 in the AP, a bowl win might propel us to top 25...deserved or not...early season pub has carried out ranking.

Who cares.  Where ever we are, we are lower than we should be.  Right now, today, we are talking about whether we finish #2 or #3 in the MAC.

    Think on that.

I think you missed my point. I want Doc gone. I hate this opponent and couldn't care less to play them. My pont was if you have to play a team nobody gives a crap about, at least make it a team we can beat up on. Buffalo has a high octane offense and good coach. They're likely better than us and now we will go get beat by some scrub school and look bad. It's a lose, lose. Nobody cares if you win and you look bad for losing. It's why P5 schools dodge quality G5 schools.

If the bowl was on the 28th or 29th, I'd agree with you. There is not enough extra practice time to correct all the problems in the passing game without having to prep for the next opponent.

In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.
