  • Will watch but won’t go...would have gone to Phoenix Cure Bowl.  Hope we right the ship because believe it or not, deserved or not, we likely would finish in the AP top 25 with a win.
No way that's going to happen, even with a win.

  • I read somewhere where this RB has shut it down to work on his draft status.

  • Very quality opponent?  You are kidding me, right?

We are playing the runner up in the fricking MAC.  They lost to Ball State.  Ball State!  Ball State the school that David Letterman, got rich talking bout how bad they are.

It doesn’t matter which team comes with the higher score.  Marshall has lost long before kickoff, we might finish the season #2 in the MAC.  Are we having fun Doc supporters?

Yeah, the MAC sucks but it's still a big step up from C-USA. I still can't believe Marshall paid 7-figures to be in such a shitty conference.

  • Be interesting to see how many Herd players shut it down, decide that going home to be with family at Christmas is more important, and just decided that 9 games in 2020, ending with two putrid losses, AT HOME, is just ENOUGH!!

Me, Christmas afternoon, I plan on enjoying being with my family and just being grateful for the blessings I enjoy in this tragic and crazy Pandemic year!!

  • Camelia Bowl payout, ready for this; $300,000.  Oh how we have fallen.
That money s8mpgoes into the CUSA pool and is divided equally into shares. As a participant we get 2 share. No participants get one share.
We basically get enough to pay expenses

When I asked David Steele that question he said we get expenses taken from the payout. When we take staff, administration their families and the band they pretty much eat it up. The time I asked him was a year that in the end we got just under $9,000 left over. This year there will be far less expenses however, 1 night vs 4 or 5. I assume no band and probably no families since it's only a one night stay

  • Looks like Ball State, for winning the MAC, got a ranked foe for a bowl opponent.

Wonder who UAB, the CUSA champs, will land as their opponent?  Army is one possibility, perhaps a Power foe in one of those "Pool" slots open versus a SEC/Big 12 foe.  Whomever, no doubt would be a much more attractive and exciting foe than what the HERD ultimately got!

    THANKS A LOT, DOC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had read that and have no idea why I said Coastal Carolina instead of South Carolina

You'll have to tune in to find out. You sure won't hear about it from the Admin or a pathetic media.

  • Maybe it’s a good opportunity to recruit Buffalo’s coaching staff.

Oh, you can bet those guys in Vegas who sets the line for all these games will know in advance.  They have ways of finding out, whether administrations like Marshall want them to or not.

  • If the bowl was on the 28th or 29th, I'd agree with you. There is not enough extra practice time to correct all the problems in the passing game without having to prep for the next opponent.
In a way, it would have been good to see the ESPN bowls like this one take "last game dates" into consideration and have made their picks some time ago.  Who prepares for a bowl game in three or four practice days?  Unheard of.  And to think some start Tuesday (I think)
