  • This bowl matchup reminds me a lot of the 2018 Gasparilla Bowl. The Herd is just on the other side of the equation.

USF started that season very strong, going 7-0, and ranked in the top-25. They then got destroyed by Houston and the wheels came off the bus and the team never recovered. There was a lot of talent but for whatever reason, they could never get back over the hump.

Buffalo worries me. They have a very solid offense. If the Herd gives them good field position with 3-and-outs or turnovers, they're going to score more often than not. The Herd defense isn't going to be able to carry the team, especially if they're out there for 35-40 minutes. This is unlikely to be a low scoring games and the offense will need to score tit-for-tat and put up 30 or 40 points. Which frankly, I don't see happening.

  • I wonder if the offense will line up in shot gun on their own 1 yard line and try to run plays  ::)

High potential for a disastrous "suitcase" game for the Herd. A reverse "Win one for the Gipper" if you will. Not saying it will happen, but the potential seems there.

Feels more like the Fort Worth Bowl in 2004 to me.  We backed in to it after Clemson and S Carolina had a fight and no one really wanted to be there.  Was absolutely the most miserable bowl experience ever as a fan.

Maybe worst game experience let alone bowl experience. All the bad play, the cold and snow when we got to the Dayton airport

  • If buffalo qb is strong armed and accurate ... no chance.  10 yard cushions no chance no chance

Herd got whooped bad, froze my butt off, caught bronchitis, and USAir couldn't get me home from DFW because all their computers crashed.

So much for an overrated 15th ranked team...
