Feels like the bow game during Pruett’s last year in Texas.  Let down finish to the season and no motivation with key players opting out.

I might remember to watch it, but it's not something I consider important or that I'm really excited about.  Not at all like the old days when it really seemed to matter and I really cared.

Let's see, Christmas Afternoon:  Watching an uninspired, watered down version of Marshall's football under the "brilliant and uplifting" leadership of Doc Holliday go against another ho-hum MAC opponent in a "Who Cares" Bowl.  Or do I click my remote to TBS or TNT to view again either the sixth or seventh airing of "A Christmas Story" that day?  Ummm, man that's a tough call . . . .

Unless there's a Christmas miracle, this game won't be pretty. Any time Bufallo is given good field position from a 3 and out, kick out of bounds, or turnover they're going to score. It's been 6 years since the Herd had an offense that could keep up with an opponent like this. I also have a strong feeling that a few more seniors won't be making the trip.

Why is the Herd even playing this game? The wheels are odd the bus and it's hard to believe players are exactly clamoring for this.

None of these bowls we play in matter anyway. Just another game with a title attached to it to fool the fans into thinking it’s something it’s not. It’s funny how one word like “Bowl” can make people think it’s special even for 6-6 teams and this year 2-8 teams. I never did understand how you take 86 out of 126 teams and you did something special?

I believe some of the replacement players will play harder than some of the Sitting Stars.  I also hope that we have learned a lesson and will roll Grant Wells.

The same could be said for 90% of the college football teams. Everyone knows that there's only about 20 programs, at most, that will ever get a shot at 4 team playoff and the National Championship. So why do the other 106 programs even bother with playing at all? If you'll never have a shot at the ultimate prize, why waste the time, energy and money on playing games that won't matter anyway? To win a conference championship? That sounds like nothing more than a participation trophy to me.

All sports are for entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. So why not just embrace that the bowl games give we, the fans, more football to watch?

True and that is one reason football doesn’t mean as much to me. But make no mistake, every P5 team has a shot IF they win and win their conference. G5 has zero shot whatsoever. Heck we virtually have zero shot at a NY 6 bowl. There will always be a Cincy, ucf, Memphis, Houston, etc that will be ahead of us and that is IF we go undefeated. Getting more football to watch is cool if that is what people believe. Instead when we hit that .500 six win Mark it’s “we are going bowling baby” like we just hit the lottery or something at .500.
