Listen, Patterson is a star. No doubt. Marshall's defense will have to key on him, swarm to the ball and play as well as they have all year to keep him from going off.
That said, he had two massive games (out of 6) this year - Kent St. he went 36 carries for 410 yards and 8 TDs. Bowling Green he had 31 carries for 302 yards and 4 TDs. The rest of the games he was fairly pedestrian - Northern Ill. 20 for 143 (2 TDs); Miami 20 for 73 (2 TDs); Akron 16 for 105 (2 TDs); Ball State 18 for 51 (1 TD), albeit with an injury.
He's great, absolutely. But he's not Superman.
