WKU is going to be tough to beat.  But, it looks like we’ve got a pretty good team.

OAK may be the second best player on this team and definitely the 2nd best athlete.

 agree. He is growing every game. He keeps it up and he will be the difference maker by the end of the year. Early is starting to get a feel of the game now as well. Got to play team ball and not playground ball.

Beyers played great tonight. He played within himself and didn’t try to do too much off the dribble.

OAK is a stud, and gets better each game. Early looks like the game is starting to slow down a bit for him. If he comes on then look out. I would love to see him take the minutes from Sarenac who still has a ways to go.

Kinsey and West did what they do. As did Taylor. Love seeing Taylor being a little more aggressive on the offensive end.

Can’t wait to get George back.

Imo Obinna and Early are the keys to how good we can be by years end. Obinna is really starting to come alive and grows every single game. Early just needs a few good games to grow his collegiate confidence. We were really coming on last year with this exact same team at the end. Can you imagine if those 2 are playing at a high level on top of it?

I like IB as a kid but I hope DD don’t throw him in there to mess up the flow of our game. Who would he take minutes from right now?

We might need him against WKU, but might not either. If Beyers and JW are hitting 3s then their big will have trouble coming out to guard.

I agree and I hope tonight was the game to get Early going. That second three was in transition and contested. That showed me he is getting comfortable.

Obinna packs on a solid 25 pounds or so in the next year or two-and he will be a real force in CUSA, IMO.  And if Early loses 10 or 15 it would help his overall game a lot too, again, IMO!!

But Williams, Goran and Beyers will get beaten badly. WV has 2 really good bigs and Bassey was better than either of them. He had like 26/13 against Alabama and they were long and athletic.

If West can avg close to double digit assists and still get 14ppg we are in good shape if we are rebounding well.  That’s huge for Coach D to know he could have West for the next 2 years.  Gives him a PG.

I feel we will definitely need IB situationally. DG, Beyers, Early, and hopefully IB off the bench and the Herd could be a real handful in league play, especially with some blocking out and toughness on the boards.

Early was really impressive, released without thinking in transition a couple of times. Swish ! Gotta be a confidence builder.

Beyers must have been reading the Board and thought to himself,"I'll show them!".

He does a good job. He is not a 100% homer and I'm ok with that. Kirtner just gets on my nerves. I will never forget the night that Larry Brown brought in his SMU team and Kirtner announced him as Larry Jones. Probably the most decorated coach to ever come to the Cam and Kirtner messes up his name....

Glad to see Beyers play well, he needs to the confidence boost. He gets roasted on these boards pretty good.
