  • We have all heard of Littons off the field nonsense but on the field they both seem good enough to beat bad teams, but make too many poor decisions or poor throws. I?ve heard he is a great guy but he?s like 21 now. He may still technically be a redshirt freshman somehow with these Covid rules but the fact is he needs to improve or we are in for another 8-4, 2nd in the East season.

  • Great kid, great family, local kid, grew up a Marshall fan....I'm rooting for him hardcore.

Just take what the defense gives you kid, you do this and you will play on Sundays. If nothing is there then dump it to the RB or use your legs. Now go lead this team to a win on Thursday.

  • Is he classified a red shirt freshman or sophomore?  He has the talent and just needs to be more cautious.  Time to bounce back and beat App St.

RS Freshmen. To compare him to Litton is a huge injustice to Grant - on many levels.

  • This is his second season as a Redshirt Freshman due to the Covid issues last season. Everyone got an extra year.

So everyone got an extra year, not just seniors?

  • He?s better than Litton ever got right this second and has more ability.

People have no idea what they are talking about.

Grant is 13 games into his career and has 1 win that mattered, because of defense. He completed less than half his passes that game. If he continues to play the way he has we may not even get to 8-4. But we?ll be a bowl team because our schedule is so weak we can just show up and go 6-6.

Did Litton ever make all conference? I don't know if he did. Did he have any wins that mattered? Again, not sure. That's likely a matter of personal interpretation. If the talk is true, we know he was a major player in the 2016 meltdown. Likely the worst season of Marshall football I have ever witnessed.

  • If he turns into Chase, that would be a good thing for us as long as he stays Grant off the field.

IMO Grant falls somewhere just above Green and just below Litton. Probably slightly worse than Brian Anderson at this point. Not saying he can?t improve, just that we expected too much out of a guy who has already shown he can?t handle pressure and makes poor decisions under duress.
