Taking some of the garbage with us that helps make our current conference suck, to go to another conference that sucks, so that we don't have to stay in our current conference that sucks. Sounds exciting!

I'm HOPING....the AAC takes CSU, AFA, and UAB as expected. Then I hope they also take UTSA/Rice off of our hands. Then we can hope the MWC expands by taking North Texas and UTSA/Rice/UTEP.

This would leave CUSA with only 1 Texas team, and would leave us at 10 teams total. Conference looks a lot better under this scenario. We could stay at 10 or add 2-4 teams. JMU/Liberty are the only teams I'd like to see us add outside the SBC and MAC.

Contrary to statements made above that?s not a bad conf. We have many alumni in all of those areas most are very drivable.

I honestly DO NOT see us splitting away from FAU and FIU, or WKU for that matter.  Only one, maybe two, east schools on that list that I'd rather be with than FAU, FIU and WKU; that would be Appy State and perhaps Coastal (but they are very new and could have caught lightnening in a bottle, lose a coach or two and they retreat.

That is 16 teams. Shew, 14 would be stretching it. I think you have to subtract La Tech and ODU/Charlotte off of that list.

Please explain how they suck while also acknowledging they?ve had multiple ranked teams the last few years (some at the same time) and have a real TV deal.

I'm not sure I understand the catching lightning in a bottle argument. Aren't all of us G5 schools just trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Nobody has the clout to keep an amazing coach more than 4 years in this day and age of big time coach salaries. I'd rather be associated with schools I care about and App State is higher on the list than anyone in CUSA. Let's get with them, regardless of the conference and then add whoever, it's basically a crap shoot after that.

App will be fine. It wasn?t that long ago they were winning 1-aa national championships and have had success since they moved up. Their success is much more recent than ours. And our fan base hangs on that like we are actually somebody in the college football universe.  It?s time to recognize our place, be the best we can be in that world and stop thinking we are a legitimate program in this day and age.
And no I?m not saying we should settle, we should strive to be the best there is but we should also know our place and value, which is diminishing

My bad, I meant Only CC when talking about being new and maybe having caught lightning in a bottle. I agree wholeheartedly about Appy State; sold as a rock down there. We'll be hitting Boone late Wednesday, hope to come home happier that I was Saturday driving back to NKY from Hton.
