  • While I wish he had been 4-4 on FGs, I wanted to compliment him on his improvement from last year.  His range is much better, which shows he has put in work during the offseason.

  • He did an excellent job. Any time a kicker makes 3 FGs in one game he did his job.

His improved range is also very encouraging.

We would have beat ECU if he plays last week.

  • Agreed to both postings. Can't blame Ciucci for that one missed field goal. We left points on the board when we were in the red zone..

Good question but even bigger question one is why isn't Ethan Ratke our FG kicker when he was so easy to get.  This conversation isn't being had.

  • My concern with home was strictly range. If he can deliver from 45 in, that?s golden. The other kid is booming the kickoffs. We have to make some clutch FG?s though

i wish he would've been the kicker the 1st 3 games as well.  but i believe the FG he missed wide last nite was the same FG sanders missed last wk.  30-35 yds, same left hash, both kickers pulled it wide.  pretty sure that's the only kick sanders missed last wk?

as someone pointed out in another thread, if you're Div I & your kicker isn't nearly auto from inside 40 yds, replacing him needs to be high on your list for the next class.

I was surprised by the play call to put it on that hash for a right leg kicker.  Bad call.

  • He had 12 of the 30 points last night, not bad at all.

Of course, had it been 15, we would have won.

  • Missed the one that would have made the difference making the other three of no value. Pressure changes everything.

  • Wouldda

    Couldda

Of course, had it been 15, we would have won.

    Shouldda

Missed the one that would have made the difference ?.

The problem with wouldda, souldda, couldda's is they exist in a perfect world where everything we want goes our way and nothing goes against us.

Truth is, if the game had been 33-31 towards the end Appy would almost certainly have scored on their last possession.  It was a good game, except for the final score let?s move on to C-USA play and hopefully a new beginning in a new conference afterwards.

  • How do you know they would have scored. Good teams put others in the position to make them prove themselves. We didn?t do that.
