Pretty dang good considering we were going head to head with the Carolina Panthers. I figure a lot of the Charlotte regional casual viewers were probably tuned in to the NFL game, but would have watched ours if the Panthers weren't playing.

Blows the hell out of that big market theory. Program from Huntington WV playing another in Boone NC gets over a million eyeballs in direct competition with NFL. Not bad.

Yep, and I am sure ESPN looks at these numbers and probably would like to make this an annual matchup.

A lot more appearances on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU & ESPN news would help more.

The G5 MWC has the noon game on CBS. The Herd? We are the 'featured' games for all 3 of the CUSA games on Facbook. The term "broadcast" should be changed to "narrowcast" for Facebook.

This is absolutely critical.  I would argue that not being on ESPN has slowly made our program irrelevant.

While that hurt us, having a coach who style and record guaranteed we wouldn't be on  ESPN did far more to made us irrelevant.

And, wasbarryb, having a bunch of Special Ed drop outs running the League Office in Frisco who flipped off ESPN in order to signed a "financially lucrative" media deal with CBSsports/Facebook/Stadium, etc., ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED that we would rarely be on any ESPN entity!

Ummm, according to my calculation of this, the HERD game at Appy out drew FIVE games which involved AAC teams and THREE games in which Boise participated.  HERD officials need to note this kind of info, and use it to promote, push, inform whomever about it whenever it can be used.  Such as in potential conference changes, moves, etc., or perhaps in seeking future media deals for the school and the conference down the road, as appropriate!

The thing is our fan base is scattered about around the surrounding states not everyone has the time or money to travel in but they will tune in on TV, we?ve always done good on ESPN. Regionally they just go off of our local markets not enough access for our alumni in other TV areas.
