  • Is he playing for ND?  Their O-line has struggled so far this year and I have heard no mention of him.

  • I'm sure getting the opportunity to play at ND was pretty hard to pass up but his brothers are here. Should have stayed. Guy going pro regardless.

  • Guess this will be disappointing news to a bunch on here, watched the game and he is still a road grader at that level.

Two pick-6?s in the final 5 minutes will certainly do that. It was a one possession game until Wisconsin got desperate. In fact, Wisconsin had the lead, 13-10, in the fourth quarter.

Notre Dame had 3 yards rushing for the game. They had a kick return TD and two defensive TD?s in the fourth quarter.

Hardly a mauling if you dig deeper than the score.

Um, maybe the Wisconsin coach read the same book/manual on 4th Quarter coaching strategy, including how to hold a lead, that Coach Huff and staff have read!

  • He is the best RG in the nation.  He has played great all year.  I have watched all of them only focusing on his play at snap.

  • I've read draft analysis that project him as a first rounder/Pro Bowl caliber pick. Top graded lineman in the draft.

The guy came here as a walk-on and was outstanding for us.  If going to play for Notre Dame helps his draft stock even a little (taking away the "who he played" excuse) that's great for him and a,smart decision on his part.  It could be worth $10 million over the course of his career.

Would you have been more happy if he just declared for the draft after last year?  Either way, he wouldn't be here. I reserve my ill will for players like Obi who come here because someone else screwed them, we give them the chance to shine and then they bolt and are never heard from again.  Or guys who prop here and then bolt before ever getting on the field.

I have equal disdain for anyone that comes here and Marshall gives them an opportunity that these bigger schools wouldn't, and then they leave once Marshall give them a chance and a stage, then the big boys make an offer. I'd spit in their faces if it was me, but that was how i was raised. You show loyalty to the ones that believed in you when nobody else did.

Madden's a turd and I don't care to ever hear or read his name again.

Selfish opinion. We didn?t even offer him a scholarship out of HS.

And since you are a man of principle, I?m sure you don?t take any joy from watching Marshall players that didn?t start their career here and never cheer for them when they make a play. You hated guys like Lee Smith, Neville Hewitt, and Beckett last year among countless others. You had to absolutely hate 1996 watching a Turncoat QB leading us to a 15-0, national championship season by throwing to a traitor we got from a Notre Dame/FSU.  You probably also hated watching Virginia signee Ahmad Bradshaw ripping up yards.

I respect everyone's opinion, but I don't get the hate for any Herd player that's moved on. We have players who have transferred here from other schools because of the transfer portal and some are starting.. As you stated earlier, Cain Madden might have increased his wealth about 10 million for transferring to Notre Dame. If I were a player, I'd do the same all day long.

  • Man it would be awesome to have him again this season.  But he had a once in a lifetime opportunity.   He would have been crazy to pass up going to Notre Dame.  I love Marshall, but I would have done the same thing.
