  • Just running it all the time has not done a bit of good for a situation like this.

  • Where are all the Wells haters?  Wells is a turnover machine but he is the only D-1 qb on the roster.

    Big OC call of game

    4&1

OC Pick - Zban over Ali

Wrs can?t catch unless Wells hits them in the chest. Zban can?t

  •  I am not picking on Zban, but maybe you don't give your backup QB experience when he doesn't have the talent. As ole Sonny use to say, you can't make chicken salad if you don't have the chicken .

Came here to say exactly this. Zban is more like a 3rd stringer in a better situation.

I suppose you could call me a Wells hater, but I came to grips with the fact that he's the best we have many games ago.

Unfortunately it can get worse. If Fancher can't pass the not D1 talent guy on the depth chart, what does that make him?

Which coach decides to start the QB, HC or the Off Co. and QB coach? If Cramsey tell Coach Huff he likes so and so at QB is that the QB.
heck play Fancher since he might turn out to be like the FR QB  from MTSU that took over after the starter got hurt in game three or so for them.

I'm not against it, just saying it can get worse.

Too many people fall for the next QB thing, their favorite player is the next guy. These guys practice everyday, coaches watch them everyday, they watch film with them everyday. If Fancher was some stud in waiting he would be, at worst, ahead of Zban on the depth chart already.

  • How bad do the other QB's have to be to sit behind Zban?

That was truly pathetic. I actually felt sorry for the kid.

How many games has Cam Fancher played in?  if they would have played him today would it have burnt his red shirt year?

Fancher was not recruited to play quarterback at Marshall  he was highly recruited as an outstanding athlete by several schools. He was likely told he would be given a chance at quarterback at MU but that was never part of the plan. I suspect Casino is on point, they did not want to burn his redshirt.

yeah but some coaches overlook the players ability for certain positions. I was one of the posters that believed Doc held back Cramsey from being a good OC but that sure looks different now with his calling pass plays and letting one of the conference's best RB block instead of running the ball. remember Doc had the VA Offensive player of the year for his class playing LB, then TE and finally when every RB got injured during two a days they moved DJ back to his position. rich Rod started a 6-6 QB (broke his collarbone and another one badly sprained ankle) and he inserted White at QB and with injuries at rb inserted fifth string Steve Slaton at TB and wam--the so-so offense became a juggernaut. Other injuries caused staffs to play players they had way down on the depth chart much like the FR QB at Middle so sometimes coaches miss the playmaker. We were getting stomped so better to find out if Fancher is a QB or WR maybe DB while the staff had the chance to see his ability in live action. It shows doc went on leave after signing the long term contract after 2014 season. Doc lost interest in his best position which was supposedly recruiting even after building the IPF cause recruits buy or choose with their eyes. i guess he thought the IPF would do his recruiting for him.
