  • I almost hate to do this, knowing how far down the rabbit hole it can go, but it people are scrambling for tickets, flights and hotels, a certain contingent needs to be aware...

"As required by the City of New Orleans, all guests planning to attend the bowl game age 12 and above must provide proof of having received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has received full approval or emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization or evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entering the Superdome ? Prior to entry, fans may present their verified digital proof of vaccination or an original, digital photograph or photocopy (both sides) of their CDC vaccination card. They may also present an official vaccination record issued by another state, foreign nation or the WHO ? The Superdome does not have a mask policy."

While I hope everyone chooses to get vaccinated, the option to present a negative COVID test is there. Easy to take, and will suffice for entry to the Superdome.

  • No masks required.

Either be vaccinated or show proof of a negative covid test.

    So what's bad about this?

LOL, gotcha.  Sounds like a negative test will suffice in place of the "ouchie".

  • Thanks for the information.  Was considering going, but not now.  I'm vaccinated, but I refuse to do business with any place that forces me to prove that in order to do business with them.  Foolishness.

He?s happy to save the money.  Minor inconvenience.  Flashing a vax card or getting tested?  Big deal if you want to go.  I?ve gone to Mexico and Aruba since Covid and other domestic trips, no big deal.  Sure I?d rather just hop on plane like the old days but I?m not going to let this foolishness stop me from what I want to do.

Our own Henderson center requires masks.  Go to, or watch in espn+, the next bball game and count masks.

  • I just re-read the statement , I completely missed the part about the negative test result working . I might end up in the Big Easy after all.

Did the same about a month ago, hope you don't hurt much, or at all. Some do, some don't.

Highly doubt you were going anyways.

What is wrong with showing proof that you aren't sick?

There's no mask like you want. It doesn't require a Vax. You just need to show you aren't sick.

  • Obviously getting a test to prove it is far more of a burden than trying to play QB in a D1 game with a concussion.

  • Because driving through a Walgreens and wiping your nose with a q tip and it not costing a dime is just the worst socialist plot to take all of our freedom forever

You could make a valid argument if the vaccine was required, hell, you could ever string together a coherent argument if you were required to wear a mask, but there is very little excuse for not wanting to just take a quick, not intrusive, free test other than just looking for an excuse.

  • methods, cost, degree of pain/inconvenience, whether you think it's a good idea or not, all that aside...

y'all don't have any issue with society requiring you to PROVE that you're NOT sick to go somewhere?

& it blows your all's minds how someone could see that as an erosion of their personal freedom?

Oh you mean like public K-12 schools, many colleges, healthcare employers, daycares, nursing homes, etc? Not talking about the covid vaccine either.
