  • I doubt it. He was recruited as an athlete,  not a QB

He played a couple games as QB this year. I'm betting that's where he'll play.

No offense to Fancher, he was a very average high school quarterback, he was offered  as an athlete by at least one BIG school. I can?t see him as a QB at Marshall.

  • I like the Zamora kid.  Within 4 seconds, most times, he has found an opening in the defense and the ball is out, he has no wind up in his release.  It was mentioned that he lead his team on a come from behind victory down 22 points.

Right now I?d take confidence and moxie over pure arm talent or great practice footage.

Although I see no weakness in his arm.  He was launching the ball to Antonio Brown in perfect timing.

This was Pete summer before Jr year. I'm sure he's grown and improved since

He has a quick drop too.  Bring back the QB under center offensive packages. Bring in a new OC and open up the competitions on offense.

that's a good thing to believe.  it's not close to true.

he got a P5 offer while he was still here and he took it.

If we upgrade at that position we will be.  It's not guaranteed that we will, but we have an opportunity to.  Wells was not that good this year despite those who are trying to convince either themselves or others that he was.

  • From highlights on the recruiting pages I like both Zamora and Harrison.  I don?t really know the level of competiton Zamora faced but the kid has a cannon?Harrison played at Centerville which is a prominent football school so I?m familiar with the teams he faced, and they are not inferior.   I?m not sure on Pennington?.my bleeding heart wants to see him outdo what his father did, but I?m not sold..although his bloodline speaks for itself.  If his football IQ is anything close to what his dads was, we will have a helluva QB competition in the next few seasons (granted they don?t transfer out)

He's got no guarantee at VA Tech, for sure.  Same day that he announced for Tech, their HC, Pry, landed another QB from the portal/transfer route who was a highly rated QB coming out of HS in the Richmond, VA, area!

The other QB signed the same day as Wells, by VA Tech, is Jason Brown so it will be interesting to see who plays. Brown started four games for South Carolina in 2021, including leading the Gamecocks to wins over Florida and Auburn. A Virginia native, Brown threw for 721 yards, eight touchdowns and six interceptions and completed 55.6% of his throws during his lone season at the FBS level. Brown has played in the SEC and that is very valuable experience. JMO

It looks like VA Tech has an insurance package at the QB position. If the starter doesn't perform, he might be sitting the bench.

Why even try to post what you originally had up. There's zero context of what's going on and wouldn't matter regardless. Get a life.
