    • All things considered, this is a great pick up. We weren?t gonna get the top flight transfers. This guy has experience and played well in spurts. Wish a new OC, he may flourish against SB competitor. Gives the young guys coming a chance to compete but yet take a year to learn and get comfortable. Good job Huff!

    • I guess Jarret Doege turned us down, because this guy is like Jarret Doege light. Columbi has WAY LESS experience, worse TD to INT ratio, worse completion percentage...and worst of all makes a heart with his hands.

    • He is a copy of wells and slightly better. He has more talent than Wells for sure, but the same inconsistent play, he might come out and torch notre dame and then we lose to Arkansas State with him.

    • i guess he made it in time to participate in spring then?  about an even trade for wells, give or take?  hope it all comes together (new OC/new players).  definitely need more than mediocre from our flagship programs.  we've got to play for championships in the SBC, nothing else will do

    no.  we certainly don't need concussions.  we've got a great RB (if he stays) and a potentially great one coming in and a large, decent RB group in total.

    • I like the pick up. Kid is a true dual threat QB who isn?t afraid to run it. He?s shown he?s capable of making the throws. We need someone who can manage a game and not lose it for us.

    Still have room to get one more QB from the portal as well.

    • Agree with MUonium.  As I have been reading, listening, etc., it appears that we may be deeper and also stronger overall at the running back position in 2022.  Huff needs to, via the portal, JUCO, etc., shore up any weak spots in our O line this spring.  Also, if we need another experienced receiver hopefully, he can round one up also.

    As for those noting this new QB's "inconsistency", just keep this in mind:  Except for the game at Notre Dame, I doubt if he will be facing in the SBC, or even CUSA, in 2022 anything close to the quality of Defenses he saw 9 games a season against Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa State, and almost all of the rest of the Big 12 teams!
