  • The new AD will have a an important decision to make with the direction he wants the basketball program to go in. Ticket sales will be a big factor.
We have been number 2 in ticket sales in CUSA behind ODU, every year since Memphis left the league. Nobody else has been close. It looks like it will be the same way in the SBC.  A couple years ago ODU actually beat us in sales on the last game of the season.
Today, I consider myself, the luckiest man on the face of the earth..

If Dan keeps losing, I can't imagine ticket sales won't drop next season. Not sure if he can fix it this season.

  • well, if there is one thing FB has shown us, you can have good to really good ticket sales for a long time...but that doesn't mean they will always be there.

I agree, but do see us re-staging our programs very quickly.  Football may be in the process now, and I think that even if DD continues, you'll see a quick turn-around in the basketball program.  Look at last night, we had the game won until the 3 minute mark when Kinsey got the ball and dribbled around until it was too late to get a good shot, or turned it over three times; game done.  This has been a visible trait in many games this year, and if the coach won't change, the player will be gone. Then they'll have to depend on more than one person.

Grasping and clawing for anything.  The program is dead.  Change inevitable.  If we wait another year, we are idiots.

Hope your boy does the honorable thing and just quits.

It's all been one big lark to him from the beginning!  Never took the job real seriously, IMO.  Just was looking for some diversion, "Fun", to help him ward off complete retirement!  Doesn't matter that recent seasons haven't been that much "Fun" for HERD fans!!
