  • Starting to lose faith in our coach. And I can assure you, the same starting lineup will start the game and begin the second half. One player in particular has no business seeing the floor. In 18 minutes of action, the tallest player on the floor had 2 rebounds and gave up 5 easy buckets without coming off his feet.Thats it . Sorry if I am making people mad with this vent . But regardless, I will sit down and hope for the best.

  • if it's any consolation, it seems our shooting %s are trending upward.  maybe also, some areas of D.  our unforced errors, our lack of movement with and without the ball are not.  still lack finishing at the basket.  this particular DD team does not know how to string scores together, especially when the D isn't bad- one step forward, two steps back.  last game we also missed the fight or spark that George brings most of the time, so hope he's back.  we can't afford for any of our top 7 or 8 players to be out.  yes, if Goran starts or gets a lot of minutes i'll SMH- play the freshmen for next year's benefit instead

  • Miladinovich is a mannequin out there.  With slightly less athleticism than the mannequin.  And slightly less dexterity.  And slightly less agility.  Basically, he's worse than a mannequin.  Disregard my first sentence.

  • And DD complains about "slow starts" to many of the games......duh         Milo comes out and the pace changes.

Watched some of Duke and U of L today and they play a different game, not just more talent but better floor play.

  • Well, the team gave you dan haters something to chew on. Just beat the best team in the league, without Kinsey

  • Happy for the win but one win does not make a season.  The key will be did DD learn anything tonight and will he bench Kinsey when he comes back if we don?t play team ball like they did tonight without him.

If we add Kinsey and continue to play like tonight this team can finish strong and be dangerous.

Most of us were and are DD supporters? BUT, we will still call him out when he isn?t getting the job done.

As someone else said, let?s hope DD learns from tonight but I highly doubt that he does.

There is a big difference in being upset and objective when you're not winning. Quite another to constantly berate the man for any and every mistake or shortcoming. Many here have hated and resented Dan since the day he was hired, for no other reason than he was loved while Doc was hated.

That is a silly take.  Is there some on here that don?t like Dan?  Sure but most want him to be successful but when you lose 10 in a row, never won a CUSA regular season championship and constantly make excuses for lies people get tired of it.  It is no different that the stuff that went on with the football coach. One conference title in 10 or so years, loses games we shouldn?t have etc. same crap in football.

The facts are we have lost way too many games in both sports in the last decade than we should have.  We have the same exact number of championships in both sports. We played in 3 championship games in football and two in basketball.  Basketball is supposedly a sport easier to turn a team around yet we have one tournament championship to show for it.

Marshall fans of both sports don?t understand that yes?a coach can be criticized and should be.  Some get too defensive and maybe that is because they get to close to it. And fans criticizing DD for the last few years has been deserved.  Just like Doc was.  If DD wasn?t a Marshall legend he would have been ran out of the gym by now.  Even our own announcers talked last night about using the transfer portal to build a team like UAB has?yet we haven?t.  Sure DD missed in a few last year but going after only a few is the problem.  And constantly using youth as a reason for losses is wrong when guys playing outside of Brain are at least two year players.  I can give you Early as being young but OAK played a lot last year and is at least our second best player.  We have a George that can play and if he doesn?t play that is on Coach. And if it is because of how he plays or practice that goes back to the staff. George has been around forever and shouldn?t be making those mistakes.  That isn?t just in him.

Now saying that?.last night looked like a different team until the last minute or so. We tried to. Low the lead then but found a way to hold on and win.  That is something we had been missing. We would blow a lead in the last minute.  Last night from start to until the brain fart at the end we played well and it was evident by the amount of points we scored as well. We moved the ball better and rebounded stronger.  Last nights game was more fun to watch and great to see the weight of the losing streak go off of the shoulders of the players and Coach DD.  He had looked miserable the last few games at the end and it was nice to see a smile for a win last night. Maybe this game will get something started for the rest of the season.

Some want to keep harping in officials being CUSA official. That is silly. Officials are not ?one conference? officials.  Watch games we play on Thursday and see where they are on Saturday. Brent Hampton was in Huntington Thursday night and then doing the Louisville-Duke game on Saturday.  To me the bigger issue is the officials aren?t teams and often officiate with different officials every night.  Put them with same guys most of the time if not all and they would be better.

Nobody is a Dan hater.  UAB is a great win for the Herd.  You do realize we just lost games consecutively for 1/3 of the season right? That?s typically not acceptable regardless of who the coach is at Marshall or any other school.

some folks are just critical (this season it is much deserved) and some are haters.  if you can't see the agendas on here and the nation then well, o.k.

I'm thankful for all DD has done getting us to an all time high in 2018.  The last two years have been disappointing.  I'm indifferent to whether he leaves on his own this year, is pushed out or if he gets another year next year.  As a MU BB fan since the 70s, one thing you learn is patience.

  • Great game and win dramatic finish also.

As Coach D himself said in post game remarks we've got to stop committing so many TURNOVERS, many of them unforced.  In the last two games we have had a slew of turnover that both MTSU and UAB turned into an avalanche of points, many of them easy.  Clearly the main factor that cost us a victory versus MTSU.  Against UAB, we survived their late game run, which has plagued us often so far this season, and held on for a win.  We also neutralized their turnover advantage, to an extent, with a surprising advantage in the rebounding department.

So the streak is over.  But fact remains that since December 11th, more than a frigging MONTH and a HALF ago, we are a PUTRID 1-10 since the win over EKU.  Fully a third of the regular season schedule.  So it's not exactly time for the boot lickers and sycophants to start popping the champagne corks, beating their chests, and start calling for a contract extension for Danny D!

What we ALL better be pulling for is a quick recovery for Kinsey, a continuation and improvement in the overall TEAM play we got against UAB, and renewed team confidence as we head out for three out of the next four games on the road, starting with ODU on Thursday,
