Braun makes a lot of great hustle plays that don?t show up on stats. He?s been playing really good last few games.


Call me crazy, but our offense is better without Kinsey because Kinsey dribbles too much instead of letting the game just come to him. Having said that, I love Kinsey and it?s obvious he loves this team, University, and community. I just hope he buys in to the team offense when he comes back. If Kinsey will play within the offense then we will be really good because he is very talented.

I didn?t think they were that bad. They seemed to be pretty consistent most of the game which is all you can ask for. The only ?bad? call I saw tonight was the foul on Taylor when it should have been a jump ball.

I really feel like Danny made a huge mistake by trying to completely change the style of defense that we play in the middle of the season. That's when the losing streak started. It seemed to greatly affect our offense. Then starting with the MT game he went back to the style he had always used since he's been here. What happens. We shoot the ball better and look more like the team we thought these guys could be before the season started.

I'm not convinced it's whether Kinsey is in the line up or not; but it's our team play and coaching philosophy becomes totally different when Kinsey plays and when he doesn't...Kinsey is a good player, but just sayin from a team/coaching stand point our team plays team ball sometimes and not so much at other times...it depends on our game plan...

If anything, the MT game the other night was a lot more evenly officiated - until the final minute. And yeah, the officials "missed" Taylor getting tackled on the in-bounds play too. What about the foul on Taylor for under-cutting when the guy fell at untouched at mid-court. You're a freaking Maroon.

Great game tonight! That?s the offense we have been missing for a very long time. There is a system and it works when the players buy in. And I agree with other posters that say this losing streak was made worse by switching the defense. I don?t want to see 1 more post about playing a zone defense.
- This is the Beyers we expected. He still makes me nervous with the ball in his hands but he can make shots when he plays within the system.
- Outrebounded UAB and had 18 assists.
- Taylor may have played his best game of the season.
- Great minutes from Braun.  I like the rotation with him and Early and Taylor. He?s a smart player and can knock down shots.
- we have some folks on the board that don?t post much at all after wins, that should tell you something.

Go Herd!  Hope we keep it up.

It's interesting to see who got the lion's share of the minutes.

Taylor, OAK, Byers, and Braun then played and mixed in George, Goran, Tousaint and Early.

You think we would be undefeated if every game was reffed fair. Never lost a game in school history, just got cheated all those times.

No ref has ever reffed a perfect game but get over it, games have been called pretty even.

Great win tonight. I know I've been kind of harsh during the losing streak, but it was because I thought we were better than what we had played. I agree about the officiating tonight. Second half was brutal. Andy was knocked down twice and there were no calls. David did not travel on that play. Andy had a bogus foul on him. Goran had a bad call on him. It was really bad in the second half. My wife always says the refs need to remember it's not about them.

I thought we played really good tonight as a team. I only remember one lazy pass. The rest were crisp. Not a lot of dribbling and just standing around. We moved, made cuts and did the little things that we had done in the past. The press bothered us in the second half and that is because we have nobody who can really break the press. As coach said in his postgame, we need to clean up the mental mistakes. Apparently, he told the team during a timeout that if we were having a problem with the press to call a timeout. He mentioned we didn't and turned the ball over. Don't know exactly what play he was talking about. As Eman said, it is time to start a long streak in the other direction.

Do I want him in-bounding against the press, no. But we need major minutes from him.

I was impressed with our ball movement.  Something we?ve not seen since the Indiana game.  I wonder what got them into playing team ball?  The losing streak, coaching?  Whatever it was we made UAB seem a bit slow.  Let?s get on a roll.  Go Herd!

I've heard coach say it and I agree. When he plays within himself, he can be a contributor. He even tried to describe one of his moves after last game and really had no words (and we know D'Antoni is never short of words). I was glad to see Beyers have a good game. I hope it continues the rest of the season.

One other note.  I prefer Braun at the point over Early.  He seems to make quicker decisions and doesn?t get into double teams as much.  Also, Braun appears much quicker than Early.  I can?t believe how much Braun looks like a young DD.

Beyers played better tonight because he didn?t have to worry about getting benched for every little mistake. He?s the most under rated player on our team and he is a true team player.
