One other note.  I prefer Braun at the point over Early.  He seems to make quicker decisions and doesn?t get into double teams as much.  Also, Braun appears much quicker than Early.  I can?t believe how much Braun looks like a young DD.

There is absolutely no doubt that Braun is quicker. We have seen that from him since day 1. Danny had no idea of his quickness until he got in the floor his first day in Huntington.
The only thing that had been keeping him off the floor was too many practice turnovers. We have seem him work really hard everyday to cut those down. Tonight over 29 minutes and not a single turnover.

Braun is quicker but Early is not only bigger/stronger?. Early is very big/strong for a guard in general. I think both of them are good and bring different things to the game. We need them both imo.

Great win young men, we looked like a different team last night hope DD seen what been killing us. Mike played a solid good game Braun he is your point guard, Early done good but slows our offense down and he spends way to much time fixing his shorts and looking down at his junk. Andrew he is getting back to the Andrew that can ball. Obinna is just a stud. Goran well he is nice and big. George played well and you can tell he is a fan favorite when he went into the game. Go Herd..

Byers lengthy stays on bench has been one of DDs (and fans) mistakes this year.  Especially for a team struggling offensively.  That and letting TK go 1 on 1, 1 on 2 and 1 on 3 while stopping ball.

I agree -  his post game interview he was ask how he fit in the rotation and he said he continues to identify who needs to be where, and the game plan he makes sure everyone gets the information.............   This really impressed me on his knowledge as a true freshman.    He really works great with Taylor!!

That was a great team win last night.  I'm very happy for the team and coaches.  Even though I've said that it is probably time to replace Danny I'm a Herd fan and I would love to see the team go on a winning streak and win the CUSA tournament.

he is turnover prone but he also makes some outstanding passes.  had a couple tonight for assists.

That's been one of Coach's dilemmas, Bison.  He can't have Byers out on the floor making turnovers, throwing wild, errant passes, and acting like he is a 6'10" floor general and playmaker!  A Magic Johnson he's NOT!  But when he is hitting from the field, especially from distance, with some accuracy, Coach can possibly "overlook" a few TOs, essentially trading 2s for 3s.  Would like to see us setting a for more screens from the foul line and farther out occasionally to try and get Byers some open shots outside.  Of course, he does that on his own from time to time with a 30 to 35 foot shot!

that goes for me too.  doesn't hurt to put a little pressure on the coaches ;)

and to you guys talking about Braun- i agree.  he acts like he's really enjoying the game, great demeanor.  he could be a very good all-around player in the vein of Taylor.  one thing i noticed is that he has one of the quickest and smoothest shot releases of anybody on the team, nice trajectory and at the fowl line too.  had his first FT i think Jake or Bob said.

Maybe not in terms of total turnovers.  But I imagine that would change when based on turnovers per minutes played!

Beyers is a good player.  He can score against any team we ever play.  We don?t have many that can do that.  Guy gets ridiculed too much by coaches and fans.  It?s amazing he is as confident as he is being so young.  When he didn?t play much we get crushed.  Now that his minutes are picking up we are playing better.  Herd needs him on the floor.

Thank you. That?s what I?ve been saying. Beyers is by far the most under rated player on our team. If we want to have any success this year then DD needs to play Beyers and leave him alone. If Kinsey can dribble for 10 seconds and throw up a fade away in triple coverage then I?m perfectly fine with Beyers making a few turnovers per game by trying to pass the ball to a team mate.

He may not be statistically but it's also a turnover when you take a 35 footer and airball it, or spinning out of control and shoot a fadeaway awful shot from 18 feet and miss, etc.

Beyers can be good but he can kill you too, IE middle Tennessee, throwing the ball out of bounds on the inbound, and he also made some awful mistakes down the stretch against UAB, late turnovers that really hurt.

But he can bring streaky offense too. I say, get him in and get him 2-3 looks early, if he bangs them down, keep playing him. If he is off, bench him. He is a streaky shooter

He's one of better 3 point and FT shooters on team.  Those 3 point percentages include the long range he misses.

Our record would be much better if Byers had not sat as often as he has. 

Counting misses as TOs.  Hilarious.
