Oddly enough, as I learned that TK wouldn't get to play last night, I felt we had a really great chance to see some future MU action on the court. With the exception of Byers, we were seeing what should be the crux of next year's team; assuming everyone stays.
I had been saying for a while that it would be great to see us play without Kinsey; because I think one of the following is true:
1. DD expects to run the O through Kinsey for a purpose that is very much both individual and team oriented, and expects too much from him when trying to do that.
2. The team, TK's team mates, expect too much from TK and try to give him too many chances to do something.
We saw what happens when these young men have to depend on someone else, and when DD had to depend on someone else. O A-K looks every bit as effective as TK, Every player believes in themselves and it showed. Now how will a very talented TK work into a rhythem and scheme like the old DD Herd we saw last night? Can't wait for Thursday to see what happens.
