  • I am not trying to be negative.  But has the team quit on DD or has DD quite on the team; or is it both?

  • I see why C-USA teams are fighting to keep us in the conference another year, they're padding their records.

  • I will be shocked if DD does not step down after this season.  He's not the enthusiastic coach that he was and seems tired.  I think the surgery he had has taken more out of him then he expected.

He has given us much to cheer about in his time here and his love for Marshall is contagious, but it's hard to keep going the way you need to in this profession at 75.

I do thank him for his time here and love for the Herd.

  • I believe I heard DD say that we are young team and the other team had transfer; transfer; transfer. I think he said it is hard for 19 year old kids to play against an older team. DD comments must have been after the game and then I lost the feed from WRVC.  I am assuming the audio was from today?

  • Again, bringing up youth on the post game??
Give that a rest, and quit using that as an excuse. ?Haven?t played enough basketball?
Well that is on you for not going into the portal like the rest of modern college sports.

  • It's over. Changes need to happen.

From 16-19, it was fun. 18-19 could have been even better having Peneva.

    GTFO! Who is he kidding:

    1. Beyers in his fourth year at Marshall.
    2. George in his fifth year at Marshall.
    3. Taylor in his third year at Marshall.
    4. Kinsey in his fourth year at Marshall.
    5. OAK in his second year at Marshall
    6. Early in his second year at Marshall.
    7. Goran in his third year at Marshall.

And here is the key point, ALL of these guys have got significant playing time in the past, not just this year. I like Danny, but the youth card is a bs excuse for any coach, even young teams improve. He needs to man up and admit his coaching has been piss poor this year.

  • Also barryb, he plays the "youth" card again.   Thing is, when all his "freshmen and sophomores are here 2 years from now they will still BE BAD, for the most part!!  He mentioned experienced players Williams and West leaving and then mumbled something about the "portal".  Oh, and something we see EVERY Conference game, at least:  Charlotte has 3 or 4 players this season from the portal, and most play.  Guys from Holy Cross, Washington State, a guy from Clemson who STARTED 50 games there, etc.  That, Coach D., is why opponents have "experience" and we're always "young".  It "Ail't" Rocket Science, DD!!

It's a mind-boggling excuse and not one media person challenges him on it. Also I am pretty sure Taylor sat out 18-19 here. That would make him 4 years in the program.
