I think Dan should have stepped down after the loss to Rice last year in the tourney. He had the hip thing going on. We had the COVID crap going on. Some seniors leaving and transferring. A million reasons to hang it up last year and everyone would have cheered him and appreciated all he'd done for us. And it wouldn't have looked like he was lost. That was the sweet spot and was still a year closer to his tournament win, keeping that fresh in our memories.
Now people will remember this season and likely next season and he'll look like an old fool who let the game pass him by and couldn't put together a winning team. He should just retire. He can hang out here and be a part of the team and community, but give the reigns to someone that might be able to whip these guys into players, while finding his own guys.
