  • Like I've said before might as well scrap the season, the preseason folks already said we're not up among the top.
"On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "

  • LOCKER ROOM STUFF!!

Hopefully, COACH HUFF uses it fully and prominently to the HERD's Advantage!  Especially the immediate weeks prior to both Appy and the Cajuns coming to the JOAN for some night-time "HERD HELL"!!

And what is sad is because magazines or coaches say it, our fans believe it. First CC has McCall and lost virtually everyone else. Louisiana is going to take a huge step back. Georgia St and Troy will be solid but won?t beat us unless we lay down. App St is the only team that may keep us from a championship and we have them at home so it should be a even battle.

  • Coastal is way too high. Certainly based on their last two seasons, not so much on that they only have 6 starters back. McCall is good but he's not that good. App is about right. I think we could be a few spots higher but we do have some question marks that need answered.

  • Having a very good QB can help any team.  That's what Coastal has going for it a very good QB.  Looks like a rebuilding year for coastal.  We are going to see how well Coastal Carolina can recruit.  They brought in some help from the transfer portal.  Coastal has 6 starters from last year returning, only 2 on defense.   Depth will be a big problem for coastal and we get them in the second half of the season.

Georgia State will be a bigger challenge than Coastal.  GSU has 10 6th year seniors returning.  GSU offensive strength is their running game which was also Marshall's defensive weakness last season.  GSU had the best RBs in the SubBelt last season.  GSU defense recorded 36 sacks and 21 forced turnovers last season.  Turnovers were a problem last year for the Herd.  Wells got credit for several turnovers but some where from tipped passes the WR should have caught.
