Topic: The only thing I hate about WVU losing tonight

Looks like WVU dropped their match to 1-0-2 Yale 2-1.

By the time they play us they probably won't be ranked any longer.  Under the circumstances I wish we didn't play them this year, after all we have everything to lose and nothing to gain by playing them.  That last part of the post is making me feel a little better.

Normally I avoid following my own posts with another post as it reminds me too much of that rattle brain loudmouth Wolf had to ban BUT....

It ocures to me to point out WVU soccer is stumbling and falling faster than Huggins after a night on the town.

They are in our conference, so there is something to gain.
Soccer is kind of like baseball, the better team sometimes (actually often) loses.

WVU was the better team last night and should have won. They had 2 goals called back due to offsides. One was highly questionable. They also had numerous other chances and dominated possession. Yale scored first goal off a free kick and the final goal with 3 minutes remaining.

WVU is still a dangerous team and I think will be a tough match for us in a few weeks. They have playmakers and move the ball quickly on offense. Their issue has been their back line.

It is still hard to believe that they are a conference mate. For that reason I begrudgingly root for them and the other conference teams when they don?t play us.

Speaking of conference mates, #5 UK plays #20 Tulsa today. They defeated #10 Louisville earlier in the week. If we both take care of business (we play Pacific Sunday who just came off a 1-0 loss to #25 Xavier last night), we will see another top 10 matchup. So far this week there hasn?t been any upsets in the top ten so we may stay at #8 when the poll comes out Tuesday. Only possible impact so far is #2 Stanford who tied Creighton 1-1 last night. Creighton was in the top 10 earlier this season.

Excellent post Toes I agree 100%.  You have to root for WVU in OOC play. Them winning is better for us.  They have now lost to inferior teams twice (PSU/Yale) but I think they'll be better by end of season. I believe the UK at Tulsa game is Sunday and may be on ESPN+. Clemson, Wake, and Duke all play ACC matches today where anything can happen. Duke is at Louisville so that's probably best shot. In SBC, ODU had a nice win last night 2-0 vs a pretty good Campbell team. Anyway, one game at a time. Pacific tomorrow at 1pm

NEVER! under any circumstances would I ever root for an eerdiot team to win.

You can count on them giving us a big time challenge. Their coach and Grassie are friends, he won?t want to lose to Chris. He?ll, they?ll prolly come in here and look like Chelsea or Man. City, etc.

We are in one of the top soccer leagues in the country.  Someone has to be on the bottom, and I can think of no better candidate than the chicken eers.

What?s most impressive about this year is that we have become one of the best college soccer programs in the country and we signed a freshman who has came in and taken over.  Matthew Bell could go down as the GOAT if he keeps this up
