  • What I know is that Marshall is a bad football team. That?s how I?ll watch every game from here on. No need to get frustrated watching a bad team play poorly. Frustration comes from watching a good team underperform. This is not a good team.

  • The reason I queried where the Doc Haters were is because any criticism of Charles Huff in here prior to tonight earned myself and some others doing so the sobriquet "Doc *ucker", etc. I think a fan should be able to criticize Huff freely here without other thread participants taking license with such criticism by drawing correlations/comparisions to recent former Marshall coaches, their records, their number of championships or lack thereof, and blowout losses suffered at home in big games, etc. Remember it was me who asked why so many were eager to drink the Huff Kool-Aid, and I did so during the Notre Dame game thread.

    Huff isn?t the guy

Funny I don?t remember you coming out against Doc and Hamrick when those two losers ran the football program into the ground

Could it be because you are a???.I won?t write it until I see your answer pal

  • Huff was not himself on the sidelines tonight.  These guys are gassed.   3 aways with emotional win and L.   Tired team right now.  Losing the ol coach is hurting this time as well.  Not in sync.

Exactly. Him and herd2win never criticized Doc until about year 9. And they still love the guy. He had many games like the last 2. Shut out at home, took many lopsided beat downs at home. Boise first half zero first downs and a total of 56 yards passing for the game. But they still stood by him. Lol!!!

  • What I know now is that we will struggle to compete in the SBC without good line play on both sides of the ball. When did their quarterback actually struggle to stay upright? I remember him having all the time he needed to complete passes.

  • Notre Dame was our Super Bowl. Glad we won but we have been flat and uninspired since. The defense was lousy against BG and the offense was non-existent against Troy.

Could be. All last week, most people said we were Bowling Green's super bowl.

  • Notre Dame beat UNC in Chapel Hill yesterday 45-32. This is the same UNC team that beat Apply in Boone. I read some posts degrading MU's victory over ND, but our victory over ND is still looking fairly good. Still a lot games to be played before we know about ND and MU.

The win over Notre Dame was huge. Can't take that away from Marshall. They went up there and beat them in all phases of the game. Troy beat us in all phases last night.

Is Appy really that good? Or was their Texas AM like our ND game? They are a Hail Mary from being 1-3.

I am not sure how good a team Appy has at this time. There are 2-2 and beat Troy 32-28 at home and lost to JMU at home 32-28. Maybe the SBC is a well balanced conference? It seems the games are competitive so far.  It is still early in the season with a lot of games left to play. TA&M did beat an undefeated Arkansas ranked #10 yesterday and are now 3-1.

Oh we know about MU. We suck on the line of scrimmage. We suck in the booth (OC) and we suck on the sidelines and in prep (HC). We are gonna have an extremely hard time to get 4 more FBS wins. I don't think we do. I can see us winning one of the Ga games, and maybe ODU. That's all we have a prayer at. JMU, Coastal, and App are gonna embarrass us.

  • We looked like very good on tv at ND.  Not at all last 2 weeks.  Something went wrong since ND.  I posted a thread that Huffs toughest job will refocusing his team after the Nd win.  It has went very badly along with losing the OL coach.  Staff not focused, tired and so are the players.  Great time for a bye.

  • I think we can win the next two games at home. If not, it will be a long season.
